Or her Weight? race is irrelevant, but they probably wanted someone that looked believably "loserish" for the show because the whole setup for Cobra Kai was Johnny Lawrence rebooting the dojo to train some victimized nerds to defend themselves and possibly beat up the people hassling them. She was obese, had glasses, a gummy smile, a bad haircut... it made it believable. She wasn't really replaced though, so this topic is erroneous.
