Beijing has been told it should be open to working with Donald Trump on a “contingency plan” to stem the threat from its erratic neighbour as the world teeters on the edge of a bloody conflict.

The nation has repeatedly rapped despot Kim Jong-un on the knuckles as the international community places more responsibility on China to solve the crisis, which could erupt into World War 3.

However, the Communist state a is deeply suspicious of any US backed military build up in the region and has repeatedly expressed anger at the deployment of a American anti-missile defence system in South Korea.

Officials have repeatedly rebuffed attempts by the US army to share contingency plans for war or regime collapse in Pyongyang.

It is so they don't have to care about what kind of dog it is.

Exactly, so people can't slip through the cracks on technicalities when their large and dangerous dog attacks someone.

Any medium or large dog that looks remotely pit bullish is called a pit bull if it attacks someone.

Yes, for example if you read the dog liability act where I live, it mentions pit bull and "pit bull-like dogs" or something to that affect. It's to get around trailer trash claiming their pit bull isn't "pure bred" because it's only 98% pit bull and so get off the hook for violently attacking someone.

Q: What is the history of the pit bull?

Due to public outrage, bull baiting was banned in England in 1835. Bulldog breeders and owners then moved to the sport of "ratting," where a number of rats were placed into a pit and wagers were made on how many rats the dog could kill in a certain time period. To increase agility, quickness and prey-drive in the bulldog, ratters crossed the breed with terriers. Essentially, it was the sport of ratting that combined the bulldog and terrier into the modern day pit bull terrier.

Q: Why do I always read about pit bulls in the news?

When a pit bull attacks, the injury inflicted may be catastrophic. First responders, such as police officers and firefighters, understand this as do members of the media, who are quick to report these attacks. Ongoing social tension also keeps pit bulls in the news. The pit bull problem is now over 30-years old.11 In this time, most lawmakers have been "too afraid" to take breed-specific action to correct the problem. Due to this failure, horrific maulings continue to make headlines.

Q: Why do pit bull owners say, "My dog might lick you to death?"

To understand the experience of owning a negatively perceived dog, Tufts Center for Animals and Public Policy did a study on pit bull owners. Researchers found that owners of out-law dog breeds directly feel the stigma targeted at their breed and resort to various tactics to lessen it. One of the tactics included attempts to counterbalance the pit bull's menacing appearance and physical power with overwhelming "affectionate" behavior, such as: "My dog might lick you to death."

- Taking science program, entire first year is made up of "mandatory electives" where your timetable is filled 90%+ with courses like sociology, philosophy, gender studies

- Get gouged everywhere you turn via outrageous textbook, parking, room/board prices

- Most programs are easily going for $20,000 for the first year alone, with prices increasing every year. If you're in a STEM program, triple this figure

- Professors teach you nothing then create tests deliberately trying to fail you. Can learn all of the material on your own via the internet

- Social scene is garbage as most students are young, inexperienced and trying to piece their lives together as they get beat down by the university

- Surrounded by pompous and arrogant academics with no real world experience

- If you somehow manage to graduate there's a good chance you'll end up mowing lawns or making coffee at starbucks

What's the point?

We've heard it hundreds of times: people berating and belittling Youtube content creators as "not having real jobs" and a complete lack of empathy for the crisis these professionals are going through at the moment that can cost them their jobs.

Facts? Youtube content creators are actually putting in more hours a week than you at your job, AND making more than you as well. It's time for people to get off their high horses, stop being so insecure and start taking these guys seriously.

I fully support their ability to make money from what they do. If they can do that, more power to them.

I'm also pro-union, but I don't think unionization is appropriate here, as YouTube/Google don't provide a workplace, work benefits or even technically a wage or work hours.

I suppose in theory it could be done unofficially, i.e. they get together and 'strike' in sufficient numbers to harm YT (although I'm not sure how feasible that is given their size). They'd be well within their rights to do that since they're not contracted or anything.

>Pro-union
>Okay with Youtube content creators starving to death because they were forced out of jobs by greedy and corrupt advertisers and business executives

Probably for the best to have advertisers leave and/or be picky. Reaction and gaming channels are the biggest offenders of being "art" or "entertainment". They use other people's content to make money. Seems shady.

Because, anyone with any semblance of a working memory recognized it all as yet another internet bubble.

That doesn't mean it's not a job.

Just because a job may vanish tomorrow doesn't mean that it's not a job today.

Does that job have good dental/health benefits? I don't want to search it and was just wondering.

Doesn't seem like it.
