Airbnb is a huge risk for both the property owner and the person staying at the property because a lot of times with airbnb you're dealing with some really sketchy people who have zero integrity. As a person renting the property, you have to be worried about what you just said. Flaky owners cancelling you at the last minute, the property being some sort of drug den or otherwise run down dump or part of some scam. As a person owning property and opening it to airbnb, you have to deal with a lot of dregs of society looking for cheap accommodations.
