We've heard it hundreds of times: people berating and belittling Youtube content creators as "not having real jobs" and a complete lack of empathy for the crisis these professionals are going through at the moment that can cost them their jobs.

Facts? Youtube content creators are actually putting in more hours a week than you at your job, AND making more than you as well. It's time for people to get off their high horses, stop being so insecure and start taking these guys seriously.

I don't care that they do those things. I just hate they're the most annoying videos on the internet. Youtube culture sucks. Nothing makes me turn a video off faster than someone who talks in edited sound bites/is patronizing as hell.

Yeah, it was very eye opening to hear how Angryjoe, for example, worked when he started. 80+ hours per week. I thought he was just playing games all day long, and making one review took just one day. Its definitely huge effort, and can be fucking insanely stressful if you manage to get popular. Hell, even smaller channels like Reviewtechusa and Alphaomegasin get shit ton of trolls harrassing them and even giving death threats to them and their families.
