Let's say a gay character has a husband. Why does it need to be more meaningful than that? How does that mean the character is sex obsessed?

Plenty of games establish that a character is straight without making them 'sex obsessed'

Like Sam Fisher has a daughter. So obviously he's straight. It's not a major part of Splinter Cell but it's there.

Most games I can think of are like this. Kratos in God of War is straight. Nathan Drake is straight. Marcus Fenix is straight. Etc.

Gears of War and God of War are very much about killing things and sexuality is still a known factor.

Will you make classic games available to own some other way? If not, then why? Doesnt Nintendo have an obligation to preserve its classic games by continually making them available for purchase?

Yeah that's what I mean really. They take from something that's popular. Sometimes it's a genre and sometimes it's a style. Then they design a free version of it with heavy monetization. Then they make billions lol

Can't argue that it works but I just don't feel anything towards these games.

Tbh I'm not interested in these games in general but I find the look of these Korean MMO games to look so incredibly generic anyway. Do they even really have much of an identity of their own? They remind me of those games on smartphone stores.

There's something about these games that just don't do anything for me. Like they're generic looking, are functional and are hugely successful due to their low barrier of entry.

Tbh a PS5 and a Series S is a pretty good combo. PS5 for exclusives and AAA third parties. Series S for Game Pass.

You're set for the generation with that really. The lack of physical media doesn't matter as much with Game Pass. All first party stuff is included there.

Not really surprising considering we're still in the crossgen phase.

When we get to the point where next gen only games are more common demand for the thing should go up. Hopefully by then they'll have a disc model with more storage too.

It wouldnt surprise me if they wash away the Sequel trilogy. It did what it needed to do, make money. Disney was too eager to get out new content.

They could easily say its a timeline that might have been. Daisy, John and Oscar arent going to go back to it anytime soon anyway. Its a dead end story telling wise.

Disney has shown they are not only capable at producing chars from the the OG via CGI but are actively doing it more.

Make the Sequel trilogy the bad future they want to prevent. Gives so much room to grow for the franchise with the future not having to lead to the first order and TFA. Disney could even unify the cannon and say that legends is another timeline.

Disney seems to be intent on not embracing all of Star Wars. Where Favaru and Filoni are and it shows.

There's no point. They can't keep relying on the OT forever. Most of those actors are done or dead and there's only so much they can do with creepy CGI people.

The ST ends with an overall clean slate. They have eras before the prequels too. Go there. It's time to move on. That's the big thing TLJ overall got right. It's time for new heroes and new generations that aren't tied to the same people all of the time.

Filoni has always done a good job filling in the blanks anyway. ST leaves enough there for them to do that.

Unpopular opinion...I could do without Big. If they'd done his part of the story better and dropped the fishing minigame I'd be more likely to replay SA1.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion. I just think he'd be a good comic relief character for a movie lol

I think the Trevorrow follow up was a little bit sloppy but overall served as a better base than TRoS and at least felt like a more cohesive conclusion.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say he's more at fault for the tonal inconsistency when you had one director managing the tone of the movie before and after his who also gave him a detailed outline of things he was planning on carrying forward. Johnson could still have told his story without seemingly going out of the way to kill every single dangling plot thread from the first movie for no reason other than to laugh at the people who had fan theories over them.

If Rise of Skywalker was any indication his ideas would have sucked anyway. It's just the same old stuff with the same old family of characters.

TFA was okay because people wanted something old and familiar after the prequels. But I don't think Abrams had any original ideas of his own. That sort of thing was only going to work for one movie.

But hey people are getting hyped over a TV show where Obi-Wan fights Darth Vader again so what do I know.

If I was filthy rich I'd love to live in Manhattan for sure. Right near Central Park with a doorman who is a kind old man. Sounds pretty great tbh

Yeah the cast in Forever is overall good. But both Jones and Carrey have to act wacky and it's just a silly movie.

I actually think the sets of those movies are overall really impressive too. They're usually huge and stylish. I think that part of superhero movies is something that was good and is missing these days. It's all CGI or just generic looking cities. It just doesn't have the same impact for me as giant sets.

Producer credit still doesn't really say how much responsibility Baldwin had over the production safety.

Having no real understanding of what the expectation is in handling "gun props" on the set of a movie/tv show, I also don't really understand this. But that's based on my basic assumption that it should be someone's job (not the actor's) to ensure that the prop is not a working gun and cannot misfire or physically hurt someone.

Hit me with shadow in the third film and we'll be living large. I always thought Sonic Adventure 2 would make a great movie. SA1, too, but it's not quite as focused and concise, story wise. Works better as a game.

Since 2 is setting up Knuckles I think setting up Chaos as the villain for 3 makes a lot of sense. They could also introduce Amy, Big, Tikal and E-102 in that movie. Then that movie can lead into Shadow for 4.

I don't think they'll do a direct adaptation of any plot anyway. Just use the same characters and villains with their same motivations.

I guess the other thing is how long will Jim Carrey do these movies.

I don't want to turn my nose at this just yet, but I gotta say that I'm pretty over these big IP multiverse mashups at this point. After Ready Player One and Space Jam: A New Legacy they just feel like a cynical flex on the studio's part, and they don't feel nearly as special and unique as Who Framed Roger Rabbit did.

The Ducktales reboot is the only recent example I can think of where I genuinely enjoyed / appreciated these kinds of callbacks (which is ironic, considering how the Rescue Rangers were used in that show - I honestly thought we were getting a rebooted spinoff series based on that when I clicked on the topic title, similar to how they're spinning off a Darkwing Duck reboot.)

The Lego Movie did it well but that makes sense for the property. Wreck-It Ralph was fun too sicne video games on the big screen wasn't a big thing yet.

But yeah this is getting really common.

Why are video game movies still a thing?

Not really much else left for Netflix to take advantage of IP wise. I know The Witcher was an adaptation of the books but it's obvious that the video games really helped there. They also have their shows that have done quite well.

I guess people are arguing over a streamer because a Korean MMO that was recently localised having dated character design is overall a pretty lukewarm take.

It's interesting how it's a game that basically became a phenomenon through internet theories and the like. Almost like the game itself was a Creepypasta.

I guess it's an evolution of that Majora's Mask Creepypasta from back in the day.

I think we have a pretty major clue. We just don't want to picture that being the case for ourselves.

It's easy to comprehend pretty much any other life forms ceasing to exist after death. Do we have any reason to believe any differently for ourselves or does our ego not want to acknowledge the obvious answer? That maybe the universe doesn't revolve around our thoughts and feelings and that there doesn't need to be anything else for us once we're gone.

Yeah, so far I haven't ran into a level I couldn't beat yet without them. I guess they'd probably come in handy on that one giant tank boss early in the game. But I still managed to beat that level with everyone alive.

I haven't level grinded in a long time, so I got obsessed with doing it in this game lol.

Tanks are a joke with Orders.

Get a Scout and give them an anti-tank order. Shoot the battery and it's dead in one go. If there's a mission with several tanks you can wipe them out in one turn using a single scout with that order. Makes the slow ass rocket guys feel like a joke in comparison considering that's supposed to be their specialty.

The orders are the most overpowered thing in the game lol. Probably more than levels.

I didn't even bother maxing out the classes. I think I only did one or two side missions.
