Dracula from Order of Ecclesia. In most games after his teleporting phase he turns into some monster. Not this time though. Instead of transforming he starts walking around and is much more of a challenge than most of his monster forms.

It's funny to think that Dracula in that fight is barely even taking you seriously despite still being tough as hell. He's just toying with you and doesn't even see you as a threat since you aren't a Belmont.

Aztec Falcon from Mega Man Zero 1 is ridiculously hard for being an extremely early boss. It's like that boss is meant to give you a warning of how hard the MMZ games are.

The final boss of Blinx the Time Sweeper is really hard. It's an unnamed monster that controls time and space. Able to reverse time, freeze you, speed up time, etc. The battle itself is really intense, but that's not even the worst part of it.

Right before you fight the monster, it messes with time and sends you through a gauntlet of the hardest bosses in the game you've previously fought. After fighting these bosses one by one, only *then* you're sent to the final boss. If you die to the final boss, you have to do that fucking gauntlet all over again. The whole thing has to be done in one sitting and it's just ridiculous.

I'm not foolish enough to do it no matter how much I love spicy food. But I was reading some horror stories on Reddit a lot of people said it felt like a nuclear bomb had went off in their intestines and it made them sick for hours. I've even seen a streamer do the challenge and she vomited later.

So...has anyone here done the challenge? What was the end result? Quite literally, lol.

Not to be confused with The Wizard of Oz. I remember my first grade teacher having us watch Return to Oz in class. I thought it was going to be some cute sequel to Wizard of Oz. To say I couldn't have been more wrong is an understatement.

I'll just leave this right here.

And that's not even getting into some of the other messed up things in the movie. Such as the family thinking Dorothy is crazy for talking about her visits to Oz, so they send her to a shock therapy psych ward.

Senator Kelly's death in X-Men (the 2000 movie) is really fucked up. With him being on the table and his features/face expanding in some weird puddle frog thing and he just melts because of Magneto mutating him. Horrific.

Also, the dragon lady in Rush Hour 3. I mean, I know her character is an evil bitch, lol. But that's still a pretty gruesome death for any human being. It's completely off-screen, but the implications are still there with her getting crushed in the wheel. Especially with Carter and the girl's reaction.

I think the reason why Eustace hates Courage so much is because seeing Courage always getting shown love and affection, probably reminds Eustace that he never got any love or affection as a kid.

His mom is kind of a piece of shit who doesn't have a single nice thing to say about him. She's even tried to sabotage Eustace and Muriel's marriage by "hiring" an ancient ghost.

I keep forgetting this movie is meant to be a sequel to the boring and depressing The Rescuers. Actually...I somehow keep forgetting The Rescuers even exists, lol. Down Under completely stands on its own and would work just fine even if it was a complete standalone movie.

There's an "infamous" traffic light in my area that sometimes stays red for a while.

But the other night, I was sitting at a red light for 4 minutes while waiting to make a left turn. And this wasn't during rush hour either. It was at 10:30 PM when there were barely any cars on the road.

After 4 minutes I said "screw this" and made a left turn on that red light, lol.

Before some cretin tells me I broke the law or whatever, I'm well aware of that.

you have an almost instantaneous pipeline of perpetrators, victims, media, etc. chronicling atrocities to social media in real time.

Yeah, pretty much.

A friend of mine nearly drove herself to insanity in early 2022 when Ukraine and Russia were all the talk. She was so anxious that not only did she have to go to a hospital, but she started having visions of Russia bombing the US (think Sarah's nightmare from Terminator 2). At least that's what she told me.

Like...geeeez. I never asked her, but how much was she keeping up to date on Ukraine and Russia when it was all the talk back then? She must have been checking her phone like every minute and viewing every picture and video of the war. That shit can drive you to straight up insanity if you get too sucked into it. It's so easily accessible at the drop of a hat too.

Thankfully she's doing better now, but sometimes I'm still concerned about her since she almost lost her sanity. I hope she managed her news intake WAY better now. Maybe I'll ask how she's doing.

In particular, what's been happening in Gaza.

It's insane to see the brutality play out on social media every day. Especially compared to back in "the day" where you'd only see it on the nightly news. Anyone else feel the same way?

War and/or genocide have always been hell, but now it's not even Vietnam level "how war really is". You can get get real-time updates on TikTok and Instagram live. And you don't have to see it out either.

My therapist said it best - "You can be on TikTok minding your own business, and then all of a sudden you get live footage of devastation from a war and you see people running and screaming and crying".

Not sure what the point of my post is. But I was talking to my therapist yesterday, and this is what he said and it really stuck with me. I couldn't agree more. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Especially the way technology has given us full access of every single 24/7 detail of every horrific thing happening on the planet in real time. Like what's been happening with Israel/Palestine, and how you can now see a genocide happening in real time. I don't even keep up with it anymore.

Maybe that makes me selfish, but it also makes me human. I don't think people were meant to absorb so much constant doom and gloom that we're powerless again. Especially because there's almost nothing we can do about the atrocities.

Now that I'm done with the show, some brief thoughts on it.

. I found the first season kind of weak. I didn't really get onboard with the show until late Season 1. Season 2 was much better and the finale was amazing.

. Kikimora is so annoying. She reminds me of a coworker who hates you and will do anything to get you terminated. But it always backfires and they just get more and more on thin ice with their boss. She was so pathetic and desperate to be in Belos' good graces, and yet he just tells Kikimora to die in a hole, lol.

. Season 3 was kind of cramped, but the finale "Waiting and Dreaming" was a pretty touching sendoff. It really felt like you were saying goodbye to all these characters.

. I was surprised at how dark the show could be at times. Especially finding out Hunter is a grim-walker and one of Belos' many failed dozen attempts that were discarded into a pit. That's fucked up. Belos is pure evil.

. I was expecting Boscha to get redemption. But nope, lol. She didn't get redeemed one bit.

. The Collector reminds me of the World from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. They're almost like a direct parallel, being powerful childish entities locked up and are very dangerous when pissed off. But then they see the error of their ways.

Sitting at an intersection in my neighborhood a few hours ago, and I'm waiting for oncoming traffic to pass (to my left) so that I can make a right turn on red.

But then here comes this truck (to my left) who instead of waiting for me to turn right and get out of his way, he still attempts turn into the tight street I'm waiting at, and he almost hits me because the turn is so wide and he can barely get in. So I have to back up and put the car into reverse, lol. Like...what the fuck?

I've been binge watching The Owl House for the first time.

That moment at the end of Season 2 episode 4 where its revealed a fake Luz is living with the mom is a giant what the fuck moment. Extremely eerie and just...huh? But I'm pretty sure there was also a hint in Season 1 that something wasn't right.

No spoilers for what's to come (unless you at least use spoiler tags). I might update this topic from time to time to share my thoughts on the show. I'm on S2 episode 5 and it probably won't long to finish the rest of the show. I know S3 was cut short and is just a few double length episodes.

All I can say is...what the actual fuck?

Some of you might have heard about what was going around yesterday in politics, with the YouTube video of a man holding up with father's severed head.

For the record, I didn't even bother looking at the video or seeking it out. I only know of it because I saw the headline/title pop up on my Reddit phone app yesterday when I wasn't even seeking out news. It's still a huge WTF? I didn't even look at it. Yeah, sorry. I don't want to be traumatized. I deleted my app. Get that shit out of my face.

Technology really has given us a front row seat to every singe abominable horror. And then these things go viral and people spread it around the Internet and don't give any warning so that others can be horrified and shocked.
