The continent poll. It has the most extreme trends. Besides the continent poll, it would also be the soda poll and the age poll. This year's age poll was more boring because the trends were much weaker as a result of being on the weekend.

Don't see the point in limiting video game discussion topic to three. It's not like anyone's going to actually follow that s***, especially when people start talking about Donkey Puncher 3 when all you want to read about is Cleveland Steamer 5.

Disagree with contest s*** since it's a contest board, though nobody posts outside the stats topic anyway so it's a moot point.

People here lead too boring lives to care about. I hate about 75% of the people here, so why should I give a s*** about whose ass they ate out this time?

I know this seems like a lot but if you actually try to follow some of my advice, you'll see a big turnaround in the quality of this board. I was here around 2003/4/5 where the board was a perfect balance of nerdy topics and cool, social topics :)

2003 was just as pathetic as this board is now. It's just that nine years ago we were all too young and stupid to realize it, and now nostalgia blinds everyone. Everyone was still doing the same stupid s*** back then that you're complaining about right now.

Something has to keep these topics going during the offseason. I'm pretty sure every bit of contest minutiae worth discussing has already been mined in the past ten years of contests and offseasons. All we really have left is Luster spending more time analyzing each regular poll than most people do the actual contests.

Goofy or not, he's pretty much single-handedly keeping the Stats topics alive at this point.

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

You can do any version, and it's only to Neo Ex-Death. So you don't have to do the bonus bosses or the bonus dungeon.

People beat the game with only one class the entire game. Hell, I just finished watching a LP where someone beat the game (and bonus dungeon) at L5/4/4/4.

It's really not that bad, especially if you just do regular. Hard might actually be easier if you get something like two Knights or whatever, but it's a bit chancey.

Basically, you get to use one job from each crystal, assigned to you randomly. You can only use the jobs you're assigned and must have at least one of each job equipped. There's also a hard mode, which expands things to any job from the crystal you get or before that, which could lead to something like having three Berserkers (unlikely, but possible).

To sign up, go to the twitter link above and tweet #reg for regular fiesta, and #reghard for hard. You can also pledge money to Child's Play based on how people do on the run or how many people participate or whatever.

I'll be doing hard since I'm awesome like that. I'll probably do a Let's Play of my run in some aspect as well.
