Theyre still big name games and Black Flag is one of the most respected.

ITs also not a game thats going to garner antivotes. AC isn't your multiplayer Shooter...its an action adventure that still appeals to hardcore gamers.

And according to GameFAQs Persona 5 is three times better than it.

Can't believe Octopath's gonna win two matches. This is fucking awesome.

Granted, a shame it's against Undertale and Shovel Knight. I would've voted Shovel Knight over most other games in this bracket, and even though I haven't really played Undertale I'd probably still vote it over a good chunk of stuff in the bracket. But Octopath is a big favorite of mine, so I'm happy it's doing well after I expected it to lose by a decent margin in Round 1.

I have nothing against Undertale, Octopath is my second-favorite game this gen by far and I was expecting it to be too niche to beat a natural-strength Undertale, so Im glad its actually winning right now!

OoT was pretty flimsy in 2015, too, relatively speaking! It couldn't even get 65% on FFIX!

Not to say LttP is weak. I just don't think it's a clear top 4 or 5 like most people would, I think.

FF9 seems to have boosted a good bit through the years, as the fanbase in general is very favorable to it in recent years.

Absolute mad man for doing this for an entire bracket. I only did it for a few debatable matches and it annoyed me.

I tend to do better when I put in the extra effort. It only took me an hour or so to do anyway.

If I was really crazy I'd find like opponents in games and compare the games to each other, but I'm not putting in that much effort for this one.

It'll probably beat Octopath since OT's pretty niche (and I say this as probably the biggest Octopath fan on this board), and I think it has a decent shot against Shovel Knight/Dragon's Dogma (though I have Shovel Knight winning that fourpack myself right now). It's cooked against Odyssey though.

I think Undertale will have decent strength and be one of the stronger indie games in the bracket, but it won't be getting any rallies this time. Undertale/Shovel Knight should be a fun match, at any rate!
