We look to be headed towards Okada/Omega V, which is what I wanted anyway. They're almost as much a part of the show as the actual performers. At the same time, they're paying customers, so they're not obligated to react in that certain way and it's really up to the company to connect with them in such a way that they do. I wish wrestling was respected enough that any significant number of academics would study it the way they do television or music or what have you. It's such a unique medium that it would be really great to see the kind of theories folks would come up with. I'm mostly thinking of RPGs here, but I'm sure there's examples in plenty of genres. You spend all game becoming accustomed to and mastering the battle system only for the very end to turn everything on its head in an attempt to make it "epic." KH1, as much as I love it, is one of the worst offenders of this.
