I mean, part of the UK rolling over was that PROGRESS, who was arguably the leader of the UK scene at the time, was owned by three guys who were, first and foremost, marks. And I absolutely hate to use that word - I almost never do - but it applies here. Jim Smallman in particular was all too willing to enter into an agreement with WWE because he so badly wanted to believe everything they were telling him about how it would benefit both companies. He was the first domino, and when he fell, it became very easy for the WWE to cruise on through Europe and sign most anybody they felt like. NJPW is in a very different situation. I only really watched her feud with Meiko Satomura and I came out of that one more impressed with Meiko than Kairi. Not to say Kairi isn't great or anything. Well I'm probably top 5 on the board in terms of watching joshi stuff (almost certainly behind voltch, Tom, NBIceman, might be number 4) and feel confident in saying Mickie more than holds her own against most of them. I would tend to agree, especially in modern Joshi. Mickie doesn't touch the Shirai sisters or the Meiko Satomuras or the Kairi Sanes or Asukas of the world, but those are women who've each had stretches where they had arguments as some of the best wrestlers in the world. | NBIceman 06/12/18 2:06:14 PM #5 | I don't pay close enough attention to the total packages for report cards or anything, but the stuff that excites me off the top of my head - Vesperia Definitive Edition - KH3 actually looking good... gameplay wise which is all I really care about at this point - No car in Mario Party so... cautiously optimistic - Octopath, but I've been excited about that for a while now - Smash, obviously I would say FE but after Awakening and Fates I don't trust IS enough right now.
