TopicShould you not accept work if you feel like you're going to be lazy?
Muscles

The biggest problem is you can't fire lazy people, that should be a fireable offense. A few lazy people will make the good workers hate their job since they have to pick up others slack and runs them ragged. It hurts the employer, other (good) employees and ruins productivity. And I'm not saying people can't have lazy days but if it becomes a regular thing they should be fired for everyone's sake.

There is so many of the most well known and influential books from the 1900s, what would you say is the biggest of them? Lord of the Rings? 1984? To Kill a Mockingbird? Catcher in the Rye?

I would probably have to go with Lord of the Rings since it not only created a genre it also had massive influence in music, film, and storytelling in general.

The 4th book is a lot of people's favorite. There is an infamous slog for the series that takes place from book 7/8 through book 10. For me 8 and 9 had some good moments, but were just okay and book 10 was bad, but it gets back on track and finishes strong so don't let it deter you. I had a blast reading through this series and it is in my top 5 now.
I'm going out to see if I can find the rest at half price books, hopefully I can otherwise I'll go to Barnes & Noble and see if they have it

There's a lot of great things about America and cities aren't one of them, they have have some cool shit in some cities but mostly they suck. Like I love Chicago food, and you can't have sports teams without cities and you probably won't be getting any cool concerts near you without cities, etc. but they are also overly taxed, crime ridden cesspools that will try to take all your money, whether it's the politicians or the fellow people.

If you want something lighter, try Hard Luck Hank. I particularly enjoyed the audio books, but the text versions were good too.

I'm usually reading 2 or 3 series at a time.
How do you break up different books? 1 each day in rotation? 1 each session? Read a chapter or 2 then switch?

I finished the Wheel of Time books I have and don't have time to go pick up the rest of the series yet so I'm going to start something else in the meantime

I have Frank Herbert's Dune saga I could continue (just read the first one so far) or I could go into the storm light archive

I also have a couple Crichton, King and Gaiman books I haven't read yet.

Also on a semi related note do you ever read multiple books at once or do you keep it to 1 at a time?

A house cat/dog seems like an obvious choice, except for the rather large number of domestic cats/dogs that end up on the streets, stuck indefinitely in shelters, or with owners that mistreat them. But then I guess a domestic animal's worst day is pretty typical for a wild animal, so that consideration is more recognizing that it might not work out wonderfully than thinking it'll be worse than being something wild.
You can choose to be a dog but that doesn't mean you'll have a good home, or even a home in general, you very well could end up as a stray

Do you possess human intelligence/awareness of the previous human life? Do you get to specify the circumstance/location of the animal you become? These would greatly effect the choice.
You possess the intelligence of the animal you pick and you don't get to specify the circumstances/location.

The question pretty much boils down to which animal do you think lives the best life, like it would suck to be a prey animal for sure. You would be pretty well off as an apex predator or anything that doesn't have any natural predators. Of course everything would be at risk from humans but so are humans so that's a wash.

Ancient Aliens, Oak Island, shows about cryptids, ghosts, the Bermuda Triangle, and basically any similar "THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!~!!" type shows.

Being a credulous idiot is bad. Believing stupid things because you watch crap shows and are incapable of doing your own research or thinking for yourself is bad. Allowing those shows to influence your worldview is bad. The mere existence of those shows causes a net negative effect on the collective IQ of the world - and there's barely enough IQ to go around as-is.

Stupid people suck.

I've been a trainer at multiple jobs and while I doubt I'm the best teacher I generally get people on the right track, at least I get them the knowledge they need to do their job properly. Don't hold back like you are teaching a child but make sure they are getting it. It doesn't hurt to ask if they understand since they might not get it right away but don't want to ask for help. Mostly just show them what to do and then let them do it themselves with you supervising until they get it down.
