I'm fine with kids somewhat, but sometimes I can relate to adults who don't like them if they misbehave or are too playful or whatever. I'm a "people pleaser" by nature, so it's hard for to set limits for kids while at the same time, making sure they are happy and not sad, too.

I guess it's fitting that I shouldn't be a parent....

I don't like kids, but there are certain individuals I like who happen to be kids (goated nieces n nephews).

I can tolerate kids in short bursts. Like last summer I visited my friend across the country who had a 2 year old daughter. I could play with her for 15-20 minutes at a time, no issue. If I have to watch a kid for a long period of time, or be responsible for taking care of them, then I stop liking it.

this except its my niece and I can tolerate her for longer because she always does something to mess with my sister and that brings me great joy. My sister is 6 years older than me and she was always bossy AF , so its nice that her daughter takes after her and is bossy with my sis in front of us

No. I'm middle aged and childless for a reason.

That said, I'm good with kids. Most respond favorably to me, even some of the shy ones. They are quite useful in closing sales with the parents. Give the little shit some stickers or a pack of crayons and printer paper and all of the sudden the parent has an extra 5 minutes to sit there and soak up the rare moment they have where the kid's quiet and they can speak to another adult. That's when I club them over the head with a $1200 car repair bill. (It's a legitimate repair, I may not like children but I am ethical and so are my technicians)

It's the ones with shitty parents that you have to suffer through though.

I love my niece and nephews but other peoples kids outside of close family are hit and miss. Some are cute as a button but others really are the spawn of Satan.

Edit: I certainly want my own one day.

Both my best friend and sister have had babies in the last couple months and I like being an uncle, but I don't think I could ever have my own, when they poop or start crying I want to hand them back to mom or dad
