Murphiroth 07/14/17 7:25:20 PM #5 | Simoun posted... Pretty sure Whiplash also got his start because Stark buzzed him off Nah. Whiplash's dad worked with Howard Stark and was implied to have been a spy IIRC. Whiplash believed the elder Stark disgraced his father. Ultron is partially Wanda's fault for fucking with Tony's head which leads to everything. Stane is a stretch. Dude was evil long before Tony did anything. Killian is the only one that's 100% Tony's fault. Even Vulture is partially on the government. --- |

Murphiroth 07/10/17 12:35:40 PM #131 | From what I understand the director didn't want to overtly show spidey sense as it's along the lines of Uncle Ben and the origin - everyone knows it's a thing so they didn't feel a need to draw attention to it. He has it, that's pretty undeniable. He straight up says in Civil War that the goggles are to help with the sensory overload, for instance. And in that movie he dodges something thrown at him from behind a split second before it hits him. In Homecoming he does stuff like webbing up dudes with guns before they fire, small stuff that's still spidey sense at work. I'm guessing we'll see him acknowledge it and get better with it as he goes on. --- |

Murphiroth 07/10/17 5:27:31 AM #100 | Nanis23 posted...
Both Civil War and Homecoming establish that Peter and May aren't exactly well off, with Peter having to scavenge for electronics in Civil War. She can probably barely afford the academy. We don't know what she does but you're being ridiculously nitpicky. It's clearly expensive, so Vulture turning to crime after losing his job (and investing into trucks for said job which immediately becomes wasted money) makes a lot of sense. Vulture was also living in a nice house and clearly wanted to continue with that plus Liz's schooling, on top of taking care of his men as Kanz said. Also you said Marisa Tomei was ugly which pretty much invalidates everything else. --- |

Murphiroth 07/06/17 10:00:54 PM #455 | Random thoughts. Keaton is really good. Very intimidating and his suit looks incredible in motion. Best post credits scene so far I think. Feels like the strongest Spidey has been physically in live action. Holland utterly kills it. Best Spidey/Peter easy. Tony is probably the best he's been since Iron Man and is in the movie much less than the trailers imply. The supporting cast, especially Ned, is really strong. --- |

Murphiroth 07/06/17 1:55:42 AM #421 | While I agree more with Tony I do think the movie did a way better job of presenting both sides as valid and understandable. The comic started that way then they just got lazy and had Tony go full villain despite the initial concept being that neither side was really wrong. --- |
