Haven't seen "Slim Reaper" used in a long time, dude's had a few nicknames but they never really seemed to stick - most just go with his initials nowadays. Coco Crisp just seems a little weird being there - Yeah "Coco" is a nickname, but it's what he's always gone by as far as I'm aware and Crisp is his real last name. Like Magic Johnson, just obviously not as famous, lol. --- |

True. I do think people underrate how much harder it is to stop an offense when all 5 guys can hit shots from the outside and put the ball on the floor, though. There are some rule changes I'd like to see to help the defense, but part of the difference between now and years past is that it's become harder to help when fewer and fewer guys can be safely sagged off of and the big rim protectors are forced to defend away from the basket more often. --- |

I honestly don't remember what my opinion was of that Hawks team at the time, but if thinking a 60 win team was a title contender 6 years ago is what you're grasping on to, allow me to roll my eyes and move on. tbqh, I'd just once like to see someone bitching about fouls at least acknowledge that we're witnessing the fewest foul calls and free throws in the history of the league. Frankly, I'll take some ticky tack fouls here and there (LOL if people think they didn't happen back then) if it means a game more based on skill rather than trying to hurt players because you have trouble defending them. Give me the '04 Pistons talented defense over the "Bad Boys" whose "toughness" meant throwing elbows and clotheslines. --- |
