Three or four attacks by various breeds, one fatality and at least one other in critical condition, one of which involved the dog being shot by officers as it tried to attack them, each of those got some minor reporting in local/state news sources at most. One non-fatal attack by a pitbull mix in the same week as those other attacks, made headline news across all the mainstream news outlets and ignited the pitbull debates again. --- |

Just replaced it yesterday; it's had some hiccups in recent months, but overall still ran fine. IIRC it's actually better to leave it on (but use sleep mode and such if you're not going to be using it for a while) than to power it on/off every day. --- |
