Even stress can effect the menstrual cycle - not just stopping them, but making them heavier.
They're not nearly as well studied as they should be*, since in the early days it was highly "improper" to discuss them in high class society, and it could be viewed as a sign of infertility - which was a mark of great shame.
Also, diet has a marked impact upon onset of periods, and how regular they are - which means the poor had pretty poor periods due to their diet, never mind anything else.

Oh, I have a cheap immersion blender like that! I have only used a blender before. The only reason I wanted the drip feed was to control the pouring speed because I thought I didnt trust myself to pour it slowly enough. But after watching that video, it turns out my butter/blender may have been too hot because I definetly remember that the egg cooked too much.

Make sure the receptacle, is very narrow - that's the trick. If you use a very open bowl, you're not going to succeed.

It's to do with the FPS recording of the Camera, and the Refresh rate of the fluorescent lights - since fluorescent lights pulsate at 50/60Hz.

I had no idea he was a Mormon. Out of all the flavors of Christianity, I respect Mormonism the least because it is the most transparently false. Read about the "controversy" surrounding the Book of Abraham as an example. In particular, Sanderson ties himself into some knots when he tries to explain away the problem of evil.

He's a pretty good author - and a good author should have at least the "illusion" that their beliefs are not present, or showing in their literature.

However, I think he'll find it difficult to get traction in the TV world - because of his beliefs, I mean whenever he's brought up in literature message boards the fact he's a Mormon is always brought up. While a little hypocritical, since I brought it up - I only provided it as evidence of him not having much luck in TV.

GRRM politics line-up almost perfectly with Hollywood's, and he worked in Hollywood before, so... yeah. GRRM is asked in an interview about his beliefs, he can be pretty open and honest - because they align.... but Sanderson? I mean, imagine an interview - he's covered pretty "safe" topics in his little essay, and probably gone over them dozens of times for controversy, but in an interview on TV, you don't really have that time.

In CA most high school teachers start around 60k, which I definitely wouldn't call low pay, but it's 100% underpaid for the work they do.

If you're working above 37 hours on a Salary - every hour you work over it per week, is basically lowering your pay, anyway.

Its one of the most underpaying degreed professions you can get into. Youre not paid nearly enough to deal with the bull shit that youre woefully unprepared for: high number of difficult kids, undercutting by admins, constantly shifting evaluation rubrics, etc. It can be a rewarding profession if youre in a good situation, but its rare.
