Today I added ice cream powder, raspberry puree, cherry puree and melted chocolate to a keg. It'll out sale our pilsner and English mild and probably also sell out in a single day on tap.

I didn't learn brewing just to make dumb shit hype "beers" for people that don't actually like beer.

It all started with hops that were bred to taste like passion fruit or peach, and now it's actual passion fruit or peach juice in beer.

Craft has lost its way smh

I can go to any brewery near me and get a pilsner, stout, and 6 different IPAs. Nowhere, I repeat NOWHERE around me has a chocolate, ice cream, raspberry, and cherry beer.

That shit is high in demand in this area and once other breweries started doing it (before us) it was causing us to lose business so we had to jump on the train as well to get numbers back up.

First beer you described sounds awesome.

Beer is disgusting so I've never been

What this guy said. I would probably have some of that just to see if it's any good lmao

Craft beer focuses too heavily on making beer fruity, and an overabundance of stouts and IPAs

If I could consistently find a bock at the grocery store, I'd be very happy. But instead the beer selection is 80 percent IPAs.

And some of the greatest beers known to man

Last I checked here in San Diego we have something like 180-200 breweries. It's always fascinated me how many there are in a city where the land is hyper expensive and we have no water.

Tbh fruited beer is an extremely old tradition that predates the rise of craft beer.

Your problem is shopping at a grocery store, not an actual beer store.

Idk. I go to craft breweries and they usually have a seasonal brew or something, which is an unusual Cincinnati of flavors like you describe, but then they have a lot of the standards as well. I don't see a problem with making a fun new concoction.

Connecticut is full of brewers, and both Two Roads and Thimble Island have extensive collections of sours (Thimble calls theirs The Sour Siren series: the beers are all named after women and have drawings on the can of them enjoying or holding whatever fruit is featured. Theyre all drawn by the same woman.)
They both also have a full suite of beers. Thimble makes an excellent ale (their flagship was an ale), pilsner, and several porters and stouts. Two Roads is more IPA focused, but makes a nice Hefeweizen too.

Theyre just the two most prominent brewers in this corner of Connecticut. Therere literally dozens more.

Idk anything about it, but sometimes I see beer cans with really cool art and it makes me want to try them. I don't drink though so I don't end up doing it.
