No, I am just curious as to why would it affect women this way if its true. I think the human body is pretty interesting.

Feel like articles like this shouldn't be published. We all know this is going to end up being an insignificant issue but like naysaspace said, anti vax dipshits will use just the idea of it as proof it's bad.

Really doubt it had anything to do with the vaccine lol

It's always weird to me how side effects can be polar opposites.
Can cause heavy bleeding during period...or no period at all.
Can cause constipation or diarrhea

A friend of mine who is a nurse didn't get her period after the second vaccine, i think. It took some time, but it's back now.

Her doctor told her that it was because of the vaccine, but she had also lost some weight during that period, which I thought was more likely to be the cause. Her doctor was sure it was the vaccine, though.

I checked some studies from the british medical journal and there seems to have been a lot of reports about period irregularities with the vaccines. They didn't conclude with anything.

One of the problems with the anti-vax movement, is that real stuff shows up, a lot of people will just dismiss it because of the craziness of anti-vax people.

To me it seems like this is one of those cases where there seems to be something to be aware of, but i might be biased because it affected a friend of mine.

Ok, but why would it affect women this way? It seems totally unrelated. Just curious how thats possible.

This article will get attention. If they discover a causal link, that article will also get attention. But if they discover the two aren't linked, that probably won't even get an article

Seems unlikely to be anything, or happens at such a low frequency that it ordinarily wouldn't even be considered a risk.

Remember, there were very large clinical triala that already happened. If it were causal, and if it happened at an important frequency, it would have been seen there.

Even stress can effect the menstrual cycle - not just stopping them, but making them heavier.
They're not nearly as well studied as they should be*, since in the early days it was highly "improper" to discuss them in high class society, and it could be viewed as a sign of infertility - which was a mark of great shame.
Also, diet has a marked impact upon onset of periods, and how regular they are - which means the poor had pretty poor periods due to their diet, never mind anything else.

*I mean, look at this: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/07/170704093610.htm -
Professor Leeners said, "The hormonal changes related to the menstrual cycle do not show any association with cognitive performance. Although there might be individual exceptions, women's cognitive performance is in general not disturbed by hormonal changes occurring with the menstrual cycle."
This should have been investigated in the 1950s-1960s, not in 2017. It's an absolute disgrace, that only now we're investigating such things.

"Most people who report a change to their period after vaccination find that it returns to normal the following cycle and, importantly, there is no evidence that covid-19 vaccination adversely affects fertility."

...

"Menstrual changes have been reported after both mRNA and adenovirus vectored covid-19 vaccines,1 suggesting that, if there is a connection, it is likely to be a result of the immune response to vaccination rather than a specific vaccine component. Vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) has also been associated with menstrual changes.9 Indeed, the menstrual cycle can be affected by immune activation in response to various stimuli, including viral infection: in one study of menstruating women, around a quarter of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 experienced menstrual disruption.10"

Is it just that one or two periods were off or is it an ongoing issue?

Because if it's the former, even just stress or being sick can do the former.

The latter however may be a genuine concern.

Articles like this trouble me. On one hand, obviously this is going to stir the pot with the anti-vaxxers and for that reason it shouldn't be published. On the other hand, if the investigation finds that there is evidence to support the claims, it would be better for this article to not be taken down, but we don't know yet until the investigation is concluded. And if the latter occurs, even pro-vax people will again become hesitant due to concerns of long term side effects. I hope this ends up being false.

They don't trust the mainstream media, however, when the mainstream media announce something that shows the vaccines/masks/lockdowns as bad or something negative then they use that because the "mainstream media" is what most other people use.

I have heavier and longer periods now, I went from 5 to 7 days of bleeding to two weeks, BUT I don't think the cause is the vaccine, there are many reasons periods can change, also seems they do so over the years anyway, I feel I've had every type of period there ever was by now.
