Also, kinda sad that despite being more cosmopolitan, we as a species are eating food that is becoming more and more similar over time, and that 500 years ago, going to another town would have had you eating food that micorbially was significantly more different than eating in New York, then Tokyo today.

There's an additional problem with some if not all of these worlds, are we to go them as normal humans?
Some of them would be fine, like Westeros (even though the world itself is craptastic... although the feats they have with swordsmanship mean some of their characters are bermensch), but some of the D&D worlds you'd be killed pretty quickly as a squishy normal human.

Apparently it's not a natural instinct. Humans are not designed for swimming and have never had a major interest in it until very recently. The majority of the world can't actually swim. It's just so ubiquitous in the first world that we don't think about a lot of people not having access to places where they could even learn.

Okay, a question:
How long is "very recently"?
Because the The Bajau people, often referred to as Sea Nomads, have lived an entirely marine-dependent existence, traveling the Southeast Asian seas on houseboats for over 1,000 years.

Also, the Bajau have genetic differences leading to diving-related phenotypes, specifically an enlarged spleen caused by a mutation on the PDE10A gene.

My strangest hobby is probably collecting toilet paper, it all started during Covid, but I'm up to almost one room full, just in-case. I never want to go without Toilet Paper, again.

Which was pretty successful, but that might be because as the US says the Russia vote is neither free nor fair.

I'm afraid your joke doesn't really work, as Western numerals are actually called "Hindu-Arabic numerals", as the symbols were actually invented by Indian mathematicians (and the country at the time was called Hindustan by other regions) in the 3rd-4th century, they were only later "adopted" by Arabic mathematicians in the 9th century.

They differentiate from Eastern Arabic numerals, which are commonly used today in the Middle East:
