Agreed. I only have Netflix and Hulu, and technically Amazon Prime, though I rarely use the streaming service.

No desire to pay for a Disney streaming service, even if it meant all of their classic animated movies and all of their Pixar films and all of their Marvel movies were exclusive to it.

idk, "The Caper Chase" and "Halloween of Horror" are probably two of my favorite Simpsons episodes and both are recent eps. (My all-time fave is probably still "The Cartridge Family" with maybe "Terror Lake" coming in second)

Like I said, I do think it's still a good show, even if the high points aren't quite as high as they used to be. There are too many people online who can't have a "reasonable" opinion and have to jump to the absolute extreme of "OMG NEW SIMPSONS SUX LOLOL"

I think that newer Simpsons isn't as great as it used to be, but IMO it's still one of the better "adult" animated shows right now. Definitely a step above any of the McFarlane shows.

Believe it or not, my favorite scene in that episode was Brienne and Ayra's sparring scene. The look on Brienne's face was priceless.

Agreed. I wasn't expecting there to be a huge battle as well, and that was definitely an epic scene, but I think it would have been a good episode regardless.

The Old Man Logan movie credited the obvious Dakken role as X-24 or some such nonsense when it was obviously not. I'm guessing that was a rights issue.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally intended to be Dakken, but it clearly was just a younger, more aggressive Wolverine. Which was disappointing, but meh. Movie was still pretty great over all, certainly better than the previous Wolverine movies.

In general, I find that a lot of manga tries to push the envelope too far in terms of art-style to the detriment of readability (shojo especially being a culprit; Ghost Hunt is unreadable for me which is a damn shame since I liked the short-lived anime and wanted to follow the story afterward). And, in general, one thing I haven't liked about manga is that art -- in many series, at least -- seems to take priority over story.

Not sure if I agree with this, but it's pretty much a fact that Berserk's amazing art is part of the reason the series takes so long to release new chapters.

Oh, plus I recently glanced at a volume of the manga (season 1 stuff) which I really didn't like.

The FLCL manga has a really cool art-style and captures the hyperactive feel of the original series pretty well, but the changes to the story are NO GOOD.

Plus, FLCL without the music is no FLCL.

I'm really glad that they avoided any direct references to Uncle Ben's death, and only had like one minor line about the spider-bite itself.

Showing Peter "getting into the swing" of things was also something I liked seeing. I still feel like SM2 is the best Spider-Man film, but this version is my favorite Peter and Spidey, and it's a pretty damn good introduction to the character in this universe.

It wasn't an old Jewish guy, it was literally a German guy. They were IN GERMANY when that scene happened. It was Cap himself who made the direct Hitler reference.

I mean that ASM 1 was the worst costume, and ASM2 was the best costume.

I did like aspects of the Homecoming/Civil War costume, such as the way the eyes are reminiscent of the Ditko/Romita Sr. versions, and the fact that the web pattern isn't "raised", and the way the eye-lenses can emote in a believable way (they look like the shutter/aperture of a camera, which works for the photography element of the character). I didn't like the black bands or the "techy" lines on the blue bits, but I can see that as being something Stark added for "flair".

Didn't like how they did Doc Ock or the Spider-Man no More story which went on for way too long. Plus I hate the MJ/Peter drama. I liked the first Spider-Man movie more than 2 and I liked ASM 1 and 2 more than the others.

I loved Raimi's version of Doc Ock, but I agree about the "Spider-Man No More" story.

I think DafoeGoblin was a better villain than Ock, but Spider-Man 2 was a better movie in general.

Honestly, though, even though I liked some aspects of the Amazing series, I ended up liking even Spider-Man 3 more than either of those.
