Whenever I feel down or lost, or really depressed, my parents would always say: "Steel yourself. You have more to endure as your life has just begun."

These words keep me going; hopeful and chastised. People suffer and endure. That's what life's all about. No matter what the struggle, people struggle. No going around it. Being pitiful of oneself will not help matters. It keeps things in perspective for me.
