Heres a scientific article about the coronavirus and pediatric patients.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapediatrics/fullarticle/2766037

If you actually take the time to read through it the researchers state that the risk of serious illness from the coronavirus in children is less than the seasonal flu.

Finally, it is important to emphasize that the overall burden of COVID-19 infection in children remains relatively low compared with seasonal influenza. As of April 28, 2020, the CDC report 8 deaths in children 14 years or younger related to COVID-19 infection, whereas there have so far been 169 influenza-related deaths in children 14 years or younger during the 2019-2020 season, with 81 of these occurring in 2020.14,15 Thus, up to this time of the pandemic in North America, children continue to face a far greater risk of critical illness from influenza than from COVID-19, pointing to the imperative for ongoing preventive pediatric health maintenance during this time.

I copied and pasted it because I know most of you are too lazy to actually read scientific articles and rather just argue with feelings. Also its important to note that a large majority of kids that did have complications had preexisting conditions.

Once again your ignorance is really showing and its no surprise that no one on this board takes you seriously. 123,000 people in the US and 477,000 in the world have died. That is no where near the tragedy of the Holocaust and once again you should feel really bad for making such an ignorant and inflammatory comparison. Heres a link to a graph you can look at that shows what Im talking about straight from John Hopkins.
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/testing/individual-states/usa
You can select Arizona and yes the percentage has risen from a month ago but it is about at the same percent as it was when everything was completely shut down two months ago.
Regionally there have been some areas that have seen an increase but in general things are about the same as or better than they were with everything shut down.
Like remember when people were saying that everyone in Wisconsin was going to become infected after the stay at home order got thrown out? Or when Georgia said screw it and just opened everything up anyways? Surely we would see huge spikes in those areas right? No. They never came. Dont believe the hype.

Don't you see the irony in this? You think people should get over more positives because we're testing more. But that's just means previously we thought it wasn't as bad as it actually is? Do you honestly think 4,500 cases testing positive in 72 hours isn't something to be concerned about? Like I don't get the logic.
Because the percent of positive test results is about the same. Example you test 100 people and 5 come back as positive. Now theyre testing 1000 people and 50 come back positive. Its a higher number but its the same overall percentage of people testing positive for infection. Its not a spike. People who understand numbers and statistics realize this.

And exponential growth requires a few iterations to be really noticeable, especially above a highly variable background that's already seeing spikes from other sources. It's not like you're going to see all of the protest-related Covid cases showing up within 14 days of the first one.
Once again using facts and not feelings, the average is 5 days. We are 3x away from that now. The protestors have had a chance to go home and spread it to everyone in their family and then some. The exponential growth would be seen by now. It hasnt. Youre wrong. Stfu.
