Simpsons has been irrelevant since Season 8. It changed it's relationship with pop culture around that time to worship it, instead of skewering it.

They could've changed the actor to and Indian guy, and gotten rid of his accent. Like, just be creative, or do something funny. Instead of a boring, crappy episode excusing the whole thing, and then phasing out Apu? Makes 0 sense whatsoever. Someone needs to pull the plug on Simpsons really.

The last episode I remember seeing was the one with the Brazil pen pal, looking it up it was the thirteenth season in 2002.

A lot of random and unfunny stuff happened and I just decided to stop tuning in. It had a lot to do with me moving a couple times back then; I even never got cable TV again due to being bored with what was on TV at the time and real life being much more urgent.

Did you know that Streets of Rage 4 was cancelled because the new head of Sega at the time never heard of the franchise?

Doesn't surprise me after the way they've destroyed their IPs over the last 20 years.

Pso2 could've made serious money in the west and been in on the ground floor of the f2p explosion. I can't remember exactly what the issue was, something to do with them making a dumb licensing deal and they basically weren't allowed to release the game in certain markets.

I moved out at 17 because that is just what kids in my family do after high school, ended up going the military route due to 9/11.

I bought a couple houses when the market bottomed out and magically got a half million in value across the three of them when the recovery started a couple years later.

People on the level of thinking about investments at least pay attention to what is happening in the world instead of just saving paychecks while living with their parents I think. It doesn't seem like itt we are talking more about investments, rather younger dudes talking about having their own space.

I remember all the non-combat horror stories my dad would tell about Korea and my uncle about Vietnam.

People our age, safe to assume you're a gwot vet I suppose, at worst probably only had to deal with dudes ditching work with the occasional drug addict or whatever. The most pg stories I've heard from older family members involve having to stand post with people who are high all day erryday and generally give no fornications about what is happening around them.

At my university, the cases we studied were conducted by the most sheltered and privileged people you can imagine, they contaminated the shit out of the societies they visited and basically treated the locals like pets.

Of course they weren't meant to be viewed that way though. Studying people who study people could be a lot more interesting than plan 'ol sociology.

I haven't tried it yet, no reason to. You get a free trial with a shield tv so I may do it out of curiosity.

By the way, the steam link is the poor man's shield, having a bit of arm horsepower on the other end makes a world of difference when streaming on your internal network.

I was reading something on Ars and even they act like MMX is tough. I know I played it a bunch and can complete it using the buster alone (almost, couple spots require a subweapon) but of all the games that's definitely the easiest. Once you get the dash of course.

Same here. I loved the game as a kid and have played through it many times.

Mmx is probably the easiest in the series, it has the most simple and exploitable AI. Mmx4 is a close second on the easy scale, it has better enemy intelligence but x and zero are so freaking strong and agile that you can easily steamroll the entire game in one sitting.
