the downvote system does prevent trolls, but it also prevents any constructive discussion from being raised on the subreddit. Not everyone is going to see a good post that's being downvoted all the way to oblivion.

Also regardless for both sites, the mods will remove troll posts, that's their job anyway.

I'd rather open a new tab to view more comments if it's in a neat order of only showing 10 comments per page eg.
than one single page trying to cram 100+ comments all at once, you have to rely on the ''Find on page'' function just to locate the relevant comments you want to see. Even that is made harder by the collapse of replies.

i never complained about that. The main problem I hate is the overshadowing in preferences of posts/comments that yields toward a magnitude of bias by redditors.
Post something they dont like despite raising a good point and being something worth discussing, your posts disappears instantly through the flood of downvotes. Post something they like, like ''ooo, Dragonball is amazing...'' and your posts shoots to the Hot page.
This is especially prominent in fanboy subreddits.

I never liked their way of running things, that to a sheer level of crazed ranking that simply promotes the idea of people to only 'see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear'.
Top voted posts are always at the very front of the page (hot), while controversial posts are downvoted to the point of oblivion where it disappears into black hole and is immediately forgotten hours after it's created by the user. It's a stark comparison to a forum site like here in gameFAQs where it's controversial posts that can get extremely popular.
For example, someone creating a post on questioning Trump's policies on /r/the_donald with sound reasoning and convincing. Your post is going to get downvoted so bad, most people there will never see it. Despite reddit always reminding users the downvote button is not a disagree button, well, obviously no one's gonna listen. Topics arent given the treatment on quality itself, they're judged on mass agree-ability.


A second thing is the comments. Oh, the effin' comments section. It's not unusual to see the most upvoted comment at the top of the page and 90% of the rest of the comments all only being replies to that single one top upvoted comment.
It takes a long amount of scrolling through a long list of never-ending replies just to find a second actual unrelated comment by another user in the topic.
It's not just tedious, it's just plain ridiculous and again, hinders on fair visibility. What's the point for me in even commenting anymore? When my comment would just be at the very bottom where no one ever sees (I know you can sort by 'newest' but most ppl dont bother). And if I reply to the top upvoted comment, my comment also immediately becomes inconsequential among the sea, of mass of other replies clinging onto this one top upvoted comment.

At least here in gFAQs, people instead will have to check the last page/latest comment in the topic to find whatever new update was made.

John wick reminds me most of max payne.

Not the same at all. Max Payne is more closer to how Wanted is portrayed. The assassins are actually able to slow down time to time and hone their accuracy to absolute perfection. Max Payne can jump sideways and headshot five people at once in mid-air. Wesley could do it too. John Wick can't.

John Wick got its action right with its more realistic gunplay and crazy amount of headshots. John Wick has no powers. He just has crazy headshotting skills

yeah no answer, as expected. The lack of realism was what made it so damn good.
Also the only movie to introduce the idea of curved bullets. CURVED. BULLETS.

it was a critical and commerical success. or do explain which part you thought 'sucked'?

such an underrated movie imo. I really loved the unique concept of their crazy superhuman gun skills of extreme sniping to bullet bending physics. I know it's not faithful to the comics, but well, the comics sucked anyway (I read it). The focus more on solely the espionage side and gun combat made the movie so much better on its own.

too bad there will never be a sequel. It could very well have been the next John Wick franchise.

ive only watched the LoTR movies, and that's only because my sibling was a fan of it and kept watching it on TV. Never bothered watching a single Harry Potter movie, GoT episode and Star Wars apart from clips here and there.

Fun fact, time seems to go faster for you when you do the nearly same thing everyday in your life.

I seriously dont get the hype behind movies like Annabelle and the Conjuring. The director uses so much horror cliches that are so thick and in abundance here, you already know what's going to happen in every suspense scene.

Granted, it's fresh to see a horror movie not relying as much on gore and violence as a way of horror, but relying on horror tropes like lights going dark all of a sudden, then sudden jump scares also feels so cheap.

Ummmmm they did use gas during WW2. It wasn't as prevalent as WW1 but it was definitely used enough to be a gimmick in a WW2 video game.

Nope, none at all. The only recorded use of gas warfare was by the Japanese against the Chinese in the Sino-War. The Nazis never used gas, neither did the Allied forces. Probably also had to do with Hitler not wanting to repeat his experience in WW1.
There arent even any damn soldiers in WWII that wore gas masks. Only civilians were given gas masks at the start of war solely out of war paranoia.


I hate when such game devs crush on the uniqueness of certain wars. WW1 is the ONLY war in history where it was actually common to see most soldiers wearing gas masks, some kind or another. German gas masks to french gas masks to British gas masks, they were also very different in designs. And that's because the use of gas warfare was the most extensive of all. No other war has come close since.

as a WWI and WWII buff, it is to me. Gas warfare is what made WWI so prominent. It was the only war where gas was so extensively used by all belligerents.
Also at least I'm not one of those whining about the absense of the Nazi symbol. I don't really care about such aesthetics.


But gas grenades and gas masks in WWII? Thats no different than adding jet fighters, jetpacks and plasma cannons to the game. Gas warfare was NOT used in WWII. I seriously hate Treyarch for coming up with this s***.
