The idea of North Korea launching an offensive war against the United States is laughable. The real threat is them possibly selling their nuclear technology to terrorist organizations or other rogue states. That I could see happening.

You know how China and Russia always say NK disputes should be just settled thru negotiations and mediation? It's their way of saying 'let's all continue to not do s*** so the both of us can continue to benefit from our position with NK by using the country as the leverage they are'.

I'm more worried for Japan and South Korean than the US when it comes to NK.

The media always portray China as NK's ally, but Russia is as well. They've been persistent in preventing escalations between NK and USA in fear of a war. At the same time, they want to keep NK the way the country is so they can use it to their advantage

Yea, but people would eat it anyway and learn that their government lies. In the end, they could spin it how they want, but fact is the people got fed by an "enemy" which is more than their own government has done for them.
Other countries would not gain much popularity for opposing humanitarian aid to starving civilians.
And NK shooting down food planes would probably not go down well either, but they wouldn't be able to stop a swarm of planes dropping food.
I'd like to believe that the people in NK aren't all that thrilled about their government to begin with.
Choke them with love etc.. But yea, it probably wouldn't work. Still worth trying before starting a war that'll kill millions.
