You're right, they probably are.

But why go to that when every game thus far has had really creative, varied ways to unlock stuff? Like, I'm not necessarily complaining I have to unlock stuff. I'm complaining that the unlocking is gonna be a boring slog.

People aren't really sure how it works yet since a lot of people doing the reset trick are saying after like 20 characters or so, they did getting new characters after every match.

Some guy said when that happened he played a match where he just ran around a lot for a while, then jumped off the stage to end the match, and he got someone from that. He already tested leaving the game on for a long time, so time wasn't the issue.
Instead he supposes that there's additional variables for some characters like "walk/fly a certain distance in VS" before they appear for unlocking.

So yeah, its gonna be tricky. It seems like the fastest way will be a combination of the VS grind and reset trick, while switching to Classic for a bunch as well.

Dude calm the fuck down. The only reason im such a rush is because I'm having a party the day after Smash releases and i want to make sure I have the entire roster unlocked before then.

If it weren't for that, i would lol at a $5 unlock and just get everyone over the course of a week or two in World of Light. But as is, i can't do that unless i want to blow through the entire story mode in one night.
After the Wii U version launched with almost all characters unlocked from the start, i wasn't expecting this amount of work involved to have access to the full roster.

You could grind out 67 vs. matches, over the course of several hours (or days), or just jump off a cliff 67 times within about ten minutes.

You can't do that though. There's a 10-minute cooldown for unlocks to prevent you from doing that, so you have to wait 10 minutes before the next match to get one. You can get around that by turning your switch off and on again which saves some time BUT even then that only works for about 20-30 characters. After that, some characters require you to travel a certain distance in the game on top of the 10 minute cooldown, before you can unlock them.

So no, you can't do it in 10 minutes. Some sources are saying you can do it in about an hour and a half to two hours, but that's unconfirmed.

I mean yeah, we eat dinner after the gym too but it's not usually done until at least 2 hours after, bare minimum. I like making shakes because it's quick and easy.

But either way, had no idea the 30 minute thing was a myth. Good to know! Would I be better off making the shakes for breakfast instead? Cuz like I said, dinner takes us a while to cook (we make a lot of elaborate/exotic meals) and we don't usually eat til like 8pm.

Having one of every single Pokemon in your PC at the same time. It's like the next step after just completing the Dex.

As for topic at hand, go with ORAS. Overall has more content, more Mega Pokemon, etc. Personally I think it has a better story and more likeable characters, but YMMV there.

To be fair, I'm playing the game like a traditional Pokemon rather than Go. I'm not catching more Pokemon than I want on my team, so my team hasn't gotten overleveled yet, and I'm not using candy either which are broken.

The game even gives you super broken moves, like for Eevee, you get a Water, Electric, and Fire 90 power, 100% accuracy move that is either guaranteed or nearly so to apply a status effect for the latter 2, and the former heals you.

Yeah I was taken aback by that in Cerulean. I found the move tutor and was like "I'm sorry, excuse me?" lol.

Like, I was expecting those partner moves to be like a BP of 50 or something.

Makes sense. Kenji Yamamoto (the lead composer and sound designer for the Prime series) did something with Tropical Freeze's soundtrack too. Like, David Wise composed most of the songs, but Yamamoto might've been sound designer for it as well or something?

Despite "WOW COUCH CO-OP IN POKEMON FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER" being one of the selling points of it.

-Player 2 can't interact with any NPCs
-Player 2 can't do anything with wild Pokemon in the field
-Player 2 can't collect items
-Anytime you enter a new map, Player 2 disappears, then reappears, where the game stops for a second or two while it plays their "entering" animation over again, instead of them just, you know, being there next to you
-Player 2 also can't open the menu at all or customize their trainer
-The few times the game has double-battles, it removes Player 2 from the game, so that they can't be a part of that battle.

Don't get me wrong, I'm actually enjoying the game a lot more than I was expecting to. But it's lolzy because I was on the fence and ultimately decided to get it only for co-op, since me and my fiancee could play together (she's never played any of the Kanto games). After playing it together for a night, she said "There's not really much difference between playing two-player and just watching you, so I'll just watch."

The game is good, but I just don't get how there's so many people raving about the multiplayer like it's good.
