Blackface is not an identity issue. People who do it are performing comedy or maybe an impression (e.g. while acting or dancing) that is never meant to be taken literally or permanently. Its performance art, and, yes, considered very offensive. People who are presenting a transracial identity do not seem to consider it temporary or fake at all. To be fair, we dont know how many fall under this category (I dont know what it would be called), but perhaps more and more will come forward as it becomes accepted.

I can not speak for everyone else, but I am trying to understand the logic of all this.

Gender is a social construct. Race is a social construct. We know many people do not feel comfortable or right in the bodies they were assigned. This person, who underwent surgery, seems convinced they are Korean. Putting aside the cultural differences, which they could easily learn over time, this person will probably feel they identify fully as Korean. How would we even begin to discredit that, considering that we cant rely on genetics or appearance or the other traditional markers?

This is going to be the Ok, Zoomer controversy our children will be fighting us on if we push back against it, and they will also be sure they are on the right side of history.

Four to six years of prison time would be reasonable for the majority of these rioters. Most of them are clueless and went along for the ride, like a bunch of goofy DnD LARPers. You could put the more serious ringleaders away for 20, with no parole. Thats effectively a life sentence for most, which not all killers even get. The government didnt even convict other rioters for overthrowing the police and taking over city blocks to establish their own rule of law, which is also treason, although death penalty wouldve been too harsh for that as well.

It is true that we have found clear evidence of organized, paid work tied to the building of the pyramids. That is not the same thing as saying no slaves ever worked on the pyramids. Egypt had slaves. We might never know the full extent of their involvement in Egyptian history, but Im sure we will keep looking and learning about ourselves as a whole.

Youre talking about the money they made, exceeding what they spent in the year. That surplus can vary from year to year, depending on various factors, especially now with new administrations and a pandemic. You cant keep spending without eventually facing the consequences. None of it is that expensive due to happy hour and I can afford it. My date Monday was only $60 after tip.

Honestly, I feel like even that is too much money for a first date. I think you could still get good results for less. Ive taken women to parks, the beach or a nice campus on the weekend when theres barely anyone around, and they seem comfortable. Its also physical, which gets good vibes, but its not distractingly hard like some hikes would be.
