The ridiculous looking censorship gives him a sense of lightheartedness in his foul mouth that he would mostly (mostly-- he still says some wacky stuff that isn't censored) lack otherwise. Which I'm aware is not actually the point but yeah generally I get annoyed by characters cursing too much and Barret didn't bug me when he did it. Strangely did find it a bit annoying when Cid did. Think it's because we already had Barret doing it and because he has less wacky non-cursing stuff, though I do love 'goddamn tea' and I'm not sure Barret ever tops that in any of his lines. --- No problem! I try not to mention skipping all or most of Raw and SD when I do so unless it's topical. It's topical fairly often, however, cause this topic does steer towards it a lot these days. Now on the other hand, I do think that empowering other people to skip the show in this topic is possibly a good thing. Speaking as someone who watched the shows in full for years after I was legitimately enjoying it, saving an extra 3 or 4 hours a week by skipping/liberally fast forwarding is great. --- No problem!
