| Lokarin 07/03/18 5:49:16 PM #5 | I'll add in Dragon Quest 1. Your main quest right from the start is kill the Dragonlord, you just have to figure out how to get there. All the side junk is just stepping stones to get helpful items which aren't technically mandatory (it's also why the game is fun when randomized) For a non-RPG, your main quest in AI War is to simply destroy the 2 AI Homeworlds and this objective is immediately available, if not nearly impossible without powering up. --- "Salt cures Everything!" Ultima 4 had a Macro-quest of becoming the Avatar that all the separate questlines contributed to.
