A lot of their self regulation is also an attempt to prevent government regulation, and that allowed the spread of massive conspiracies that led to a violent insurrection attempt.

Im not sure where I stand on this issue tbh but its hard for me to look at where we are and think yes this is all working out well.

Should market forces and private entities be in charge of what information is allowed to spread? Should Twitter and Facebook be in charge of what content they allow to be posted and what isnt? Should there be government regulation to it? To what extent should the market control what information spreads publicly?

She ended up disappearing, the cops didnt give a shit and my cousin ended up making a big stink, even getting in the local paper in Oshawa, Ontario for her crusade. A few months and many interviews later the police end up arresting the suspect, a suspected goddamned cannibal serial killer who left body parts in his fridge a la Jeffrey Dahmer;
