Well is he?

nah. In order for TC to become a CE user here, he needs to be at least 13 years old
for TC's dad to become a millenial means he needs to already procreate TC at age of 6-7ish, he's basically needs to become a kid who had very early puberty onset (which is not normal and might cause several health conditions in the future)

oldest millenials are in their mid to late 30s.

Yes. I have been looking to get out of the city and out of a big corporation. I had my 2nd interview with the state last Thursday and I think there is a good chance I get an offer this week or next week. They have even contacted my references. It would be a pay cut but I'm fine with it. It would allow me to relocate to Olympia which is an area I love and can stand the traffic.

I really wouldn't call it a deflection. I just found it funny that someone could claim they have any kind of privacy at all in this country. Unless you live 100% off the grid and use cash for all of your finances, there's someone out there that has your data.

The difference is now they have my data for what I allow them to have my data on. I have some transactions that are cash only. I never bought cigarettes with a card, they were always cash, for instance.

Alright.

This is the basic plan for my short story collection, as worked out over the last few months.

A few stories set in Nazi Germany; a few stories set in East and West Germany; a couple of stories set in modern Germany; one story set in the Weimar Republic; one story set in the Germany Empire. I haven't decided on the exact order, although I've been trying to figure it out. As you might imagine, the book is planned to jump backward and forward in time, and will hopefully be set in a few different German locations. The stories are gonna be between about 20 and 40 pages. Overall length will be something like 350+ pages. Stories will cover groups of characters such as family units, groups of friends, etc.

What do you think? I've been working on this for quite a while, and am pretty happy with what I've decided. As you might imagine, however, these things could change. Like I said, I don't know exactly what I want the order to be.

That could work fine, it sounds more like it is character driven story with common geographical location.

Meaning..?

Meaning if you are a college student and buy weed, that is recorded and will follow you forever. I imagine China's social credit system will have aspects picked up by other countries and cashless will make it easier to have a lifetime profile on your citizens.

wait you think the govt can't trace the source of hard cash back to you
...dude you know paper cash comes with serial numbers right

And you think they can trace every bill to every citizen? When I break a $100 and get change back, you think the grocery store has been tracking the serial number intake and who gets what serial number in change?

Lucas: We made Temple Of Doom a prequel because we didn't want to use the same bad guys. We had ideas about the Monkey King. We had ideas for a haunted-castle movie but then Steve had just done Poltergeist and said, "I don't wanna do that again." We were struggling to come up with another MacGuffin. We couldn't find anything as good as the Lost Ark. We ended up with the Sankara Stones, which was a little obscure.

Do you want a unique and authentic representation of Germany? If so you will fail.

Thanks.

You see, Juhanor? This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. I've been attacked quite a lot about this, and it's had a pretty bad effect on me. Every person thinks they know what they're talking about, how my book will be worthless / non-sensical / stupid / bad.

I'm not saying it will be worthless, it is all about what you are wanting to capture. All I'm saying is that everything you know about Germany is filtered through someone else's eyes. A story set in Germany, I'm sure you could have it work. But it doesn't sound like that is what you are writing, it sounds more like the story is about Germany itself.

The average American writer could probably write a story set in UK without any real big issues. But if an American write who has never been to the UK tried to write about the UK and all the various class struggles and the social aspect that are at play there, do you think they could capture the nuance or would it be just a caricature?

What is the goal in your writing? Do you want a unique and authentic representation of Germany? If so you will fail. Is it just the setting of your book and you just want it to be familiar enough to the reader that they don't call BS? If so you'll probably be fine. At the end of the day your writing will be a distillation of other people's thoughts and nothing more though since you won't have any first hand experience to give a unique view.

TopicWhy buy physical Gold and Silver in America?
KILBOTz
12/30/18 7:16:28 PM

i buy / own physical gold, silver and platinum.

it started from gold panning as a kid. I got gold fever once I found my first flake. Finding precious metals is better than buying it, but buying it still sort of scratches that itch.

from a financial point, there are high transaction fees in owning physical gold. If you go to a pawn shop you will pay over spot price to buy and get paid under or at spot to sell. ETFs are a smarter tool if you just want to balance risk, at least for me the transaction fees would be lower.

there is also a tiny bit that is insurance against governmental collapse where the faith in the currency/banks plummet. That is the most likely doomsday scenario to me, not nuclear war or asteroid or zombies, just excessive debt leading to runaway inflation and the currency not being worth the paper it is printed on.

but mostly i just like knowing i have physical precious metals, sometimes touching it, smelling it.

i buy most of my precious metal at APMEX. Sometimes a small time coin store you can get deals but that is rare now. Back in the 90s I would go with my dad and you could get really good deals at coin stores sometimes back then, but everyone is better educated on the values now. Pawnshops I only trust if it is US minted currency. Bars are sometimes fake at pawnshops, or so ive heard.

My company has been trying to turn into a corporate cult like they have seen be successful at other companies. There are ways you are supposed to think and believes you are supposed to have, our leadership is trying to make a cult of personality out of our CEO, we are asked to work overtime without any actual work needing to be done, lots of talk how we are all a family, many things can't really be questioned anymore, people get promoted for buying into the system rather than being good at their job. I started noticing the change about 2013, really started getting bad in 2015.

Ok, someone has but here's another one.

He was awesome back when. It's a wonder how he never injured anyone doing that, that's how good he was. The Frankensteiner was also awesome but he always looked like he hurt himself doing it.

The one you showed was one of his better ones. I don't remember him ever doing it in the Steiner Brothers first WCW run, but he did it in WWF the same way as the one you posted. But when he came back to WCW it was different, not as cool. Like he lifted like a suplex but then immediately get them in the piledriver position instead of dropping from suplex to pildriver in a fluid moment as he goes for the piledriver.

found a compliation, this is how he did it later. i think it is a safer way to work the move.

Chris Kanyon of Kanyon and Mortis in late WCW stole the Kanyon Cutter out of nowhere gimmick from DDP (which was later stolen by Orton) and like randomly gave it to nobodies back stage for great hilarious effect.
