I wish that I could say that I was close to 16th...

Only made the playoffs three times in this, twice winning the SB and the other losing in the conference championship round because I had a really stupid number for the tiebreaker that was used.

That SB history can't be correct as I know that I've won twice. Seahawks/Broncos and Pats/Falcons years I won. I distinctly remember both years because we picked opposite opponents in the first one and for the second one, I prematurely congratulated my opponent when it was 28-3.

Look, I am not really a JRPG fan, especially since I've been an adult, but I played a non-insignificant amount in my teen years. This was one of them, so when I saw it on sale on PSN several years ago for like $5, I decided that was worth the nostalgia trip.

If you can stomach typical dumb JRPG plots, sub-plots, and characters and random encounters, it has a moderately fun battle system (aka not turn-based), and some neat side stuff.

I ended up playing a few chapters of Batman. I'm playing on Xbox, which has had free cloud saving for nearly a decade, so it was a simple process for me to import my season one choices. I was unsure at first because the old and current Telltale are different companies, so I didn't know if they would retain such a feature, but I'm guessing that because Batman was one of the few licenses they got renewed, the import would work. I'm curious what would happen if tried with the Minecraft games.

For a game engine that hadn't been updated much, or maybe even at all, for at least half a decade after it was first used, I always felt like the Batman games utilized the QTEs the best. The stylish font/UI, set pieces with accompanying music, and how they slow down the scene when it is ready to input the prompt are all very fitting for a superhero game.

Now that I got many things taken care of in real life and on B8, I hope to actually begin Batman or Hitman before going to bed.

You can laugh at me if I am wrong, but it is one of the few JRPGs that I have played multiple times, including in 2020-2021.

Like the previous topic, I have played...none of these. I do own three of them, opposed to one from the other.

Now I do!

I never read the comic or played the game, but I did see the movie. I could barely tell you any specifics, but I generally remember there were parts that I liked and probably just as many that were kind of cringey. I was maybe a teenager then, so I can't imagine time will work in its favor if I were to rewatch it now.

It simultaneously looks over-the-top and generic, so I don't really know how much interest I have in it right now. I will say that for a Japanese game, it does look quite polished from that trailer.

I have played none of these

Turns seemingly took 5-10 minutes in MP7. It just seemed so unnecessarily bloated.

One of my best friends growing up had four outdoor cats, not at once, because their family wanted cats but didn't want to deal with litter boxes on a regular basis. Two were killed by cars, one was mortally wounded by an unknown creature, and the other left to become an indoor cat by an elderly couple after they regularly fed it.

Outdoor cats make no sense in a suburban or urban enviornment. Rural too because they can wreck ecosystems (which they can do in suburban/urban), but I just wanted to point out that there are too many dangers to their lives.

Yeah, and she doesn't even have familiarity with the Pokemon really. Her only prior experience with Pokemon was the N64 Stadium games and the cartoon with Ash Ketchum.

Did they mess up the PS5 enhanced port because I don't recall this being an issue two years ago when I played the PS4 version

i've thought about this a lot since i'm often confused why people will complain about games they've beaten.

I can't speak for anyone else, but all of my top choices would be from games I went through as a kid, so it wasn't like it was during a point in my life where I respected or valued my time.

Are these really the most notable games to be released this year? I'm sure that I will end up with several of them like Starfield and Horizon Forbidden West, but I guess this will be another indie-heavy year for me.

I like the art style, but the imagery comes off as pretentious

Utah employs one of the best coaches at the FBS level and is one of the greatest at getting his teams prepared. I almost always pick Utah to win their bowl game no matter the talent discrepancy between their opponent.

I will probably start Batman first, maybe even this weekend. It has been almost five years since the first one was featured here. This is basically all that I remember that from the first could play a role in the sequel:

Vicki Vale was the villain and died
Oswald Cobblepot was both a childhood friend of Bruce and also took over his company because something about the Waynes fortune/company actually rightfully belonged to the Cobblepots?
Bruce was injured in the final fight and might have suffered a disfigured ear or lost an eye or something
Joker was introduced at Arkham Aslyum because Bruce was a patient there for some reason and will probably be the main villain in this one?

What is Game of the Month Club?

The Basics
- Each month will usually feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated
- For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing
- In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month
- If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so
- Drawing for next month's games is around a week before the end of the month
- If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome!

Nomination Rules
- You get one nomination automatically each month
- You receive additional nominations each month for every featured game that you beat
- Each game you nominate has to be unique from all other nominations and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM
- Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game)
