Ultimately, I think that I would settle on this being a very good game, but it was definitely a roller coaster ride. I found Bloodstained to be extremely underwhelming to the point that I ended up dropping it (thankfully I didn't buy it outright as I tried it via Game Pass a few years back) and thought Shovel Knight was great. You seemed to really like roguelikes, so I went with Monster Train as a comparison to Slay the Spire and Noita as a general roguelike that looks to have pretty unique and fun mechanics. I was looking at a Stardew Valley comparison, and I landed on My Time at Portia not knowing how much 2D meant to you in that type of game.
