It'll never happen. The pro statehood party mainly uses statehood as a gimmick to garner votes, but tends to sabotage some more real efforts. Like others have said, it could be over to avoid more federal oversight since its the most corrupt territory of the US. Seriously, the FBI has done a decent amount of arrests over the last few years.

NOW...even if all of the island joined in favor of statehood, it would also never happen. Theres no real interest from congress. Republicans would never allow it, they think its overwhelmingly democrat when the truth is that its very conservative. And democrats...even if some would vote in favor, they still answer to big interests who benefit from PR staying like it is.

And if the US had wanted to be a state, it wouldve happened by now. And to answer your original question, there isnt any big push right now. Maybe another vote on it when elections come next year.

Did you just play Final Fantasy or something? People will never understand unless you've lived it yourself. I'm an American citizen living in PR. There are many positives to this and also negatives. But you can see first hand the negatives of living under a colony and how we have no control on some of the biggest issues affecting the island. And its good that the typical American be made aware of what your tax dollars contribute to so you can elect better leaders (oh I also cant vote for president, but can do so for primaries...wtf came up with that)

There ARE REASONS for this though. Younger generations are getting so screwed with jobs, cars, houses. The economy is not allowing them to grow up, cause fuck responsibilities, starting a family when the cards are so stacked against you.

Charizard wasn't a particularly great card in the original set IIRC, people just liked it because Charizard.

It had some meta decks. Fire spin plus double colorless energies that you could bring back with energy retrieval trainer cards. Its definitely OP on stats and ability, but faster decks like the hitmonchan/electabuzz combo could easily win over it.

I always thought Cancer and heart disease were always causes 1 and 2 for death in the US. Also what made Covid so deadly was that it largely preyed upon those already suffering with chronic diseases. Covid became the bullet that ended an already weak body.

So I go in to the restrooms where there's a line of 10 urinals all lined next to each other. It was completely empty and as I usually do I went right to the last one. Doing my business I notice someone close to me. My peripheral vision tells me they might be looking at me so I look back to them and INDEED the guy was looking straight into my eyes with a pervy look. I was like nope, fuck this and quickly zipped my pants actually leaving with wet spots.

It wasnt nice. It felt bad being perved on without consent by a stranger. It wasnt just that he looked at me, but was staring at me for a while, while I was doing my business.
