The TLDR is that a guy who used to work at the animation studio that made Gura's lore video, got fired and made his own animation studio, then completely mishandled it, broke NDAs, missed deadlines and is accused of embezzling funds. Saruei and Bao are the biggest victims, but he also had dealings with Vienna, Captain Hannah, girl_dm_, Geega, and Nemu.

Eh, 'everyone' is a bit of an exaggeration. Even then, joining Vshojo is a good way to let people know what her new persona is and if the contract ends up being no good down the line, she can just walk away with all of her IP. Seems like a win-win.

I dunno, if she had been planning to leave for a while, she could have been planning this move since before her graduation announcement.

It's not quite THAT bad. DS2 is still fun to play and a good game, it's just the worst of the three and storyline-wise disconnected, so it's easy to skip.

Hime also doesn't have it, though at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if VShojo was the one who didn't want to renew her contract. I think she's streamed in the single digits in the last year?

I found it reasonably good, not barely acceptable. Lack of fast travel is the big problem, and lack of QA is highly visible. It's a good base for a sequel to improve on.

This was basically my experience with it. Super janky, but fun with a likeable cast of characters. And yeah, some of the maps were so sprawling that a lack of fast travel made backtracking a chore.

The final boss was bullshit though. I was playing on the hardest difficulty though, which didnt help.

Yeah the three games are unified by the same director, Mr Fujibayashi, and the belief is that theyre a trilogy about Demise, Hylia, and her Chosen Knight.

The other Zelda games happened sometime in between SS and BotW, as BotW Impa alludes to, but their order or timeline placement isnt important to this story; just those 3 games really are.

Makes me wonder if the other elf in the trailer wearing the same clothes as Zelda might be Hylia herself.

It's mostly preference. I'm only really familiar with Seamless Project. HD Mod uses similar techniques and looks better in areas, but also is a bit too aggressive with the AI upscaling in places.

2classix is going to be the hardest to play controlwise since it feels all 25 years of its life. But once you get used to it, it all flows.

They are two different experiences, yeah. Classic is more in depth with the A/B scenarios and plotlines, Remake is more streamlined and fluid overall.

Both are worth playing though.

If you're into it, there's also HD Mods for both the original RE2 and RE3 which look great. They've even upscaled the FMVs.

Sadly, 'master of unlocking' was removed from the remake. Jill Sandwich is sorta still there, but you have to do a specific thing to trigger it.

Finally finished it. Overall they did an amazing job. Kinda glad they removed the U3 fight as i was never really a fan of it anyway. It basically just felt like another Verdugo fight and the game worked well without it. Other than that the only other major cut from the island was the driving bit with Ashley. That was a take it or leave it section but again they worked around it perfectly.

As for a few story changes it seems like Krauser wasn't working for Wesker in this one. I don't think we ever find out what happens to the other one of Salazar's helpers. In the original it gets morphed into his boss fight. Maybe Ada will fight it in her DLC?

I think there's a note that explains that Salazar's other 'hand' is U-3 (although, I think both of them are technically U-3 and the names Verdugo and Pesanta are just to differentiate), so yeah, weird for them to mention it and not fight it, so it showing up in Separate Ways sounds reasonable.

There's as much bad as there is good. It's nice to look at, there are a ton of references, it's very faithful despite creating some original elements and every scene with Bowser is great. But it was otherwise boring, rushed and every character was two dimensional.

A bland plot is fine when you're actively playing a game, but not when you're passively sat there for an hour and a half.

Just got back, I'd say a 5 or 6/10 is fair. Good attention to detail, bright and colourful and delightfully animated, but with terrible pacing and writing and a boring, shallow plot. Like inch deep.

Elite Xbox Controller Series 1. The Series 2 feels nice too, but has some terrible build quality issues.

I guess technically midway. I'd done all the guardians, but I just went in to get the memory spot and the shrine that's there, I think, as well as the shield, then I went away and did all the remaining shrines and upgraded all my armour before going back.

Little under four hours, but I was streaming it and reading out all the lines. Reckon it'd only take, like, two, two and a half hours playing normally?

Just finished it. Only complaint is the lack of controller support made some of the later sections a little tricky, but otherwise goddamn, what a fantastic game to just release unannounced and for free. Worth the entire playthrough just for the final image.

Man, I wish it was possible to preorder this game harder.

I wouldn't have called it a trainwreck, it was just a little scuffed in places. Which, considering it was mostly arranged by streamers, was appropriate.

I'm playing. It's the worst kind of auto-battler, gacha trash with a million different currencies, but it has Dan in it, so eh. Once I've maxed him out though, I dunno how much longer I'll stick it out for.

And done. 7/10ish. Honestly, if this wasn't a One Piece game, I probably wouldn't have finished it. Combat was super easy throughout, but it never felt tedious, I guess. And the Straw Hat's moves are always fun to see animated.

The sections set in the real world with the new characters and plot were good, but the memory stuff was all kinda meh. It felt like I kept stepping away from the real plot to go 'hey, remember this?' for a few hours.

Also, this game is all over the place. The flashback sections range from 6-7 hours to maybe 30-45 minutes? And surprisingly few characters actually show up.

And the ending was kinda... underwhelming? Like, it felt incomplete. I'm anticipating the DLC to be set both after the end of the game and after Wano and have the crew come back to the island for some reason as a way to resolve it properly.

I have a soft spot for Armageddon.

Shame Sonic didn't make top 10, but happy to see it so high for once.

Tunic would have been higher for me, but one of the final puzzle solutions put a bit of a blemish on an otherwise delightful experience for me. Still top 5 though!

I'd say bad. The whole premise is that they're revisting memories and recreating them, but things are happening slightly differently and they skip over a lot, so if you're not familiar with the original series of events, you'll miss out on a lot. There is an original story happening parallel to it which you can enjoy, but it's like 2-3 hours of original story for every 5-6 hours of flashback story, I'd say.

And yeah, the combat is fun, but easy. I've only struggled on a couple of fights so far and the only time I've died is a fight where they made me use just Usopp and he got knocked unconscious, so I couldn't heal him.

Okay, pacing on the Enies Lobby arc was much better. Was also about half as long. Wonder if the plan was to make every section as padded out as Alabasta and then they realised they didn't have time to do it for the rest or something.

One other complaint I have is that revisiting the big emotional moments from the series is really falling flat, because the characters are just going through the motions. The anime version of Merry's funeral always bring a tear to my eyes (I even rewatched it afterwards to check), but this version was massively underwhelming. The characters were all, like 'yup, no worries, have a good one!' Doesn't help that the music in this game is kinda bad too.

One thing I do like is the little details of the combat system, like Robin's Dos Fleurs Grab only working on enemies with undefended balls or Usopp Pound only doing damage to enemies who are both gullible and sentient.

Just finished Alabasta. I'll reserve judgement until the end, but I do have some complaints, mostly about pacing, how frequently new moves are unlocked and the core concept of the plot being underutilisted. I'm mostly enjoying myself though.

The fact that they don't play Dvok: Symphony No. 9 when you beat Crocodile is a travesty though.

Ish, but they're doing the memory island storyline that they've done a few times before to justify bringing back old enemies, so the memories themselves are from the manga and rely on the audience being familiar with the plot.

I'd rather they wait until the arc has ended in the anime and do a DLC pack including the whole arc than including it at launch and having to leave out the ending to avoid spoilers.

Cool, but then you still need to hit her 778 times without screwing up. A one hour boss fight is dumb.

Yeah, but she has attacks which remove the phoenix down effect D: My current plan is to finish the game in hard for that achievement, then beat her in normal and use the gear you get for beating her to beat her on hard. Otherwise it's Gil and SP farming and balls to that.

They increased the super bosss HP to 77Mil on hard mode. Its the only mission Ill probably have to bump the difficulty down to normal for, which is a bummer, but three achievements are locked behind beating it.
