I still say that playing GTA3 for the first time > San Andreas > Vice City for the first time.

Driving down a rainy bridge towards the city, fiddling around the radio stations certainly beats Starting the game riding a bike, or the hilariously named moped.

GTA 3 literally changed gaming forever. It was the first fully realized 3D open world game that I can remember. Countless clones were released on PS2 and none of them touched the greatness of GTA.

The short answer is that in American little league the kids are taught to specialize on one side of the game at a young age if they show exceptional talent. If the coaches and trainers stop forcing kids into one role then you'll see more players like Ohtani.
