does anyone else have different pronounciations of inventory depending if they're talking like a store's inventory vs your inventory in a game

stores: in-ven-tor-e
games: in-VENT-or-e

it's hard to capture the emphasis difference but (a) is like a flat tone while (b) goes high for the Vent syllable

The story presentation still isn't winning me over yet, but the exploring and battling is fun enough so far. But boy are my AI characters bad at avoiding damage. Thankfully the game gives me candy and chocolate left and right.

really I played ToM Remake directly after a Collection of Mana SD3 playthrough and oh boy in terms of difficulty they're direct opposites. Also just the progress of levels / experience I found instanely boosted from my experience through the original.

you don't use he or she without context of knowing what entity they are in the first place

the only way you'd say "Which way did he go" and the person you're asking doesn't know the identity is if you saw them at least see a person or multiple people run away, thus the context assigns the pronoun to "the person who was seen running". If you asked someone "Which way did [pronoun] go" and they had not seen a person running and they have zero context of who you're talking about... the response will be "who?"

because uh yeah "they" can very easily work in that sense without any confusion ie

"I'm looking for Helen" (more natural *edit*: "Have you seen Helen?")
"Oh they just went by"
"Which way did they go!?!?"
