Been a wild read, boys and girls. One thing here - saying it's not right to celebrate the death of literally anyone is stupid. There are deaths we can universally celebrate. One is a guy who committed the genocide of millions people right around WW2, commanded the Third Reich, and his name rhymes with Bradolf Pitler.

There's also this scary guy from late 19th century London who had an alias similar to Mack the Stripper.

Not like Rush is as bad as these guys - regressive/hateful propaganda pales in comparison to rape, murder, genocide, pedophilia, political cruelty, and whatever else. To say we can't celebrate any death whatsoever though is just dumb.

If you don't like people celebrating Rush's death, tough. The party of "fuck your feelings" can consider its feelings fucked.

I think the problem with that argument is that we all know it's bullshit. Rush wasn't a good dude. He said some vile things in his day. However, the people celebrating aren't celebrating because Rush was a scumbag. They are celebrating because he's not on thier side. If Ben Shapiro died, there'd be tons of celebrating as well and he's not 1/4th as bad as Rush. And lets not forget the celebrating that happened when Peterson got ill and his views are even more tame then Shapiro's. Fuck, I remember when Total Biscuit died from cancer and all the progressive nuts on Twitter were jerking off to that news and TB wasn't even conservative at all(he was just a bit involved in Gamergate). The reality is, this isn't about Rush, it is about the deranged mindset that had taken hold in American politics where people get gleefully excited at the death of any big figure on the opposing side.

Though it's not surprising you'd attack me for not cheering over his death even though I don't even like Rush or agree with him about much of anything. Gotta say, I have a lot less sympathy for people when they are the one that provoked the confrontation. She picked a fight with a jerk and he acted like a jerk. Shocking. They are both probably scumbags imo. I always wear a mask in public but those mask Nazis that go around starting shit with everyone they see that isn't wearing a mask annoy even me. So often lately I'll be at a grocery store and I'll see those people picking fights with people and it'll turn into a huge incident. Like...why? Starting a huge public fight does nothing positive.

I think I know what he's talking about. Some girl was doing a dance routine on a basketball court while filming it and some like 13 year old boys walk up to her and start giving her a hard time. No idea who the steamer was. Just saw the clip randomly on Youtube a few weeks back.

The 13 minute one? I've seen the shorter clips all over the place but the full thing seems difficult to find. Meh. I'm sure it'll be easier to find in a few days. I'm in no hurry. The clips I saw weren't exactly hype inducing.

I've never really found tattoos attractive on women or cool looking on men. Maybe it's because my parents were really into them(especially my mom) so they always seemed kind of lame to me.

You think "protect the children" isn't an excuse they'll use when it comes to that too? The reality is, any poorly parented 10 year old can access porn with minimal effort and there are a lot of poor parents in the world. That subject will become a weapon they'll use in the coming years to push thier anti-porn agenda. First they go after content and then it'll be access. They will not stop until porn is gone or so controlled and sanitized that it might as well be.

The issue was user generated content. As long as you allow that, cp uploads are a risk. The only way to eliminate that risk is to limit access to sites as much as possible. Which is to say, by only allowing content and members that go through a strict verification process. In other words they are trying to control and sanatize porn the internet as much as possible. Child porn is just the excuse they are using. It won't stop there.

Given what has been going on with Pornhub lately, I think the whole internet might be like that in a few years. I mean, not like shady sites. But the more reputable ones.

I'm really guessing it won't come to pass though, or companies may actually fight it. I'm sure most of them don't want to be inundated with hundreds of thousands of Emails per day with "Hey can I stream this game? That game? What about this like 30 year old game you likely don't own the rights to any more?"

The bill is very likely going to pass today. So this is likely going to happen. We'll see how things shake out but I'm not optimistic.

I know for a fact Hololive is pretty strict about getting permission from companies before they allow the streamers to play a game.

The thing is, it doesn't matter. Lets say someone is playing a game and a licensed song comes on in-game. In that case the owners of the songs can file copyright claims against the channel. The music rights are separate from the game itself. Sure, a lot of time that doesn't happen and people get away with it, but record labels have been going really hard on the DMCA stuff this year. Just look at the state of Twitch right now. When CASE gets through though? Things will get worse. Far worse.

So if illegally streaming stuff becomes a felony and that CASE Act stuff goes into effect(and as of now it seems like those things are going to happen), think that's going to have a chilling effect on the vtuber industry? American vtubers would obviously be fucked. But even non-American ones could be in trouble in the sense that we don't know how Youtube is gonna react to these new laws. Bannings and strikes might start dropping like rain.

It always amazes me when people say stuff like this. He's not even the worst President in the last 20 years let alone century. I don't care if you're on the left or right, I don't see how you can say Trump is worse than Bush and have any idea what you're talking about.

Trump, despite endless mongering, didn't actually do much of anything while President. A Biden Presidency will likely be similar. He might declare a war or two but not against anyone that can actually fight back. In terms of politics I don't think much will change and status quo isn't really a downfall. In terms of the economy? Well, things certainly don't look good and are only likely to get worse. But that's going to hurt most of the world not just the US.

And what about restaurants? Do you only go to Mcdonalds? Restaurants aside, Walmart has indeed been killing small businesses for decades, but there are still small specialty shops and the like around. Hell, even smaller corporations are in rough shape right now.

I'm less concerned about China's ability to control thier people and more concerned with thier ability to control foreign companies. Ten years from now, who knows if you'll even be able to search Taiwan on YouTube.

Another website I read says he had the kid get out of the car in a church parking lot next to the highway. I assume that he made him get out of the car because either standing in the rain was supposed to be the punishment or he was going to spank him. Either way, the kid probably bolted which resulted him getting hit when he ran into the road.

D. The ignore list is a useful time saver. There are a lot of accounts on this site and I can't be bothered to remembered who is a troll and who isn't. For example, just yesterday I was talking to some guy on another board and he kept responding to everyone who disagreed with him with "shut the fuck up". Not just me but like 5 other guys. What point is there in talking to someone like that? If I don't put him on ignore, I'd probably run across him again a few months from now and waste another 10 minutes conversing with him. But now I don't have to worry about that.
