Akshon Esports put out this video the other day. There's no real interesting information that you don't already know if you've played this game a lot already (particularly since the game is so new there isn't a lot of information yet for the competitive scene), but it calls out the balance issues pretty hard, and of course focuses a lot on Zapdos:

Hopefully they'll fix it in an update, but I feel like that will be a major gameplay change that won't happen until a big update. Like 2.0.

I had a weird menu glitch last night where pressing Right on the Dpad caused the cursor to move left. It wasn't reversed or anything, pressing left still worked. I could only go left. I thought my Pro Controller had gone busted.

But really, it's the fact that his full name is exactly the same as the real person. It's hard to ignore that. If it was just the "McCree" that was the issue and he had a different first name maybe it could squeak by, but in this situation they're way too closely linked to each other.

What If...? episode 2 was pretty freakin' awesome. Maybe it's because I really enjoyed the setting of the Guardians movies that seeing the characters in different, expanded roles was really great. It was also just kind of a fun story.

The greatest part though was seeing Thanos as a good guy Ravager. Just so bizarre, I loved it.

I feel like a lot of it is just based around pickrates. A lot of people pick Slowbro, so Slowbro gets nerfed.

It's the same as the move buffs and nerfs. If the majority of people are picking Move A over Move B then Move A gets nerfs or Move B gets buffs or both.

Yeah, I really like Slowbro. The biggest downside for me though is if your team doesn't want to go after Drednaw you can't really do anything to make up for it (unlike other Pokemon that can solo it at least reasonably).

...right. I'm trying to say there's a difference between "general people" and "people you know". A lot of people have difficulty understanding that. People always seem to narrowly focus on the opinions of people they've met or in the sub-cultures they hang out, like in the websites they visit, or the curated content of social media they use and mistakenly assume that's general opinion and then wonder why they still make Transformers movies when everyone hates them, or why Two and Half Men was so popular when everyone knows it was a terrible show. A lot of people I know hate the first Suicide Squad. A lot more people I've never met and will never ever meet enjoyed it.

I mean, it made a ton of money, and audience reviews were much higher than critical reviews. I mean, I don't know what to tell you. *I* don't like it, and it gets trashed in places all over the internet, but there's a lot of people who really liked those awful gritty DC movies and still fight for them.

...this is right on the money. I always tense throughout slow-moving scenes like that expecting something randomly terrible to happen. Overall the movie is lot more optimistic than that though.

In the end, while I wouldn't call it amazing, it was still really enjoyable in a lot of different ways. It was very surprising, funny, and honestly had a fairly well-written plot. I enjoyed the story it told, and really liked pretty much all the characters (including the assholes, which honestly there were a lot of, but they were fun to hate).

I guess my thing with buddy barrier is, how many times are you using your unite move during a match? 2-3? I get that when you use your unite move, its usually during pivotal moments in the match so anything that helps that moment swing to your side is good, but I dont know.

I've been really liking Buddy Barrier. It basically guarantees your Unite Move will win the fight (otherwise while they're strong you can still get outplayed)/

From the last topic:

The set I posted at the end of my last post is a pretty universally useful set-up.

It might seem odd to suggest Muscle Band even on mage-like characters, but you find yourself auto-attacking much more in this game than most other MOBAs, particularly since every character has a passive where your third auto is empowered, so you get surprising value out of it.

The shield(s) you get from Buddy Barrier can make all the difference in a fight, especially around Zapdos, so whilst you won't get use from it throughout a match, it proves it's worth when it really counts.

Focus Band is just really good survivability, especially when you get it level 20 the regen gets really strong and it'll push you over the line in more 1v1 fights.

Thanks, but I was wondering if there's a list of recommended moveset options for the Pokemon attacks. It's clear that a lot of them combo well in certain ways, but when I try out a new Pokemon I get overwhelmed at first. And I have difficulty remembering what the moves do once in an actual match. Some sort of guide with suggestions would help me a lot.

Yeah, it really sucks. You can press the minus button to get out of it. It seems to happen if you press it at the same time you get the message that someone has already taken the Pokemon you currently have selected. I find it to be more reliable to move the cursor normally once or twice before opening the "All Pokemon" menu.

I mean, that's the primary reason I didn't choose Eldegoss to start with. I knew from experience with Overwatch that a good support can't save an abysmal team. But I didn't realize you would free licenses for basically everything BUT a Support character... I just want it to have on hand when playing with friends.
