Keep in mind while they did fix the missables in Halloweentown, if you don't get them the first time you'll have to fight a really difficult enemy to access them again. Not quite a bonus boss, but pretty close. And it respawns...

KH1 really is the worse in the series in that regard. You can tell Square hadn't really understood how to make a platform game at that point.

The worlds become much more playable in later games, although admittedly this comes at an expense since they become more generic and sparse
