The pieces were there and were so easy to pick up and play that way. It would have been far more interesting as a trilogy than the disconnected mess that we got.

Wolf's Rain

Centred on three wolves who were caught as puppies and raised as house pets, they realise they are meant for much more than they have been given, they attack their owner on a walk one day and have to start a fresh pack with no experience of the savagery of the wild. There's some weird Mowgli/Jungle Book stuff going on here and I assume a couple of scenes that were put in to appeal to *ahem* adult markets. Because wolves I guess? Pretty good concept, pretty well landed.

Far beyond enemy lines, Sgt Frog has to keep his wits about him and keep his unit alive and safe with every moment a risk. And y'know. They're all frogs. The episode where Lance Cpl Greenback... croaks seems like it should be sad, but it's filled with so many jokes it's impossible to keep a straight face. It's short enough not to outstay it's welcome, but it's never going to be highly recommended.

The town is normal, everyone lives boring ordinary lives and when the cops can't catch a criminal, suddenly there's Butt Attack Punisher Girl Gautaman. It's like Batman, except with a scantily dressed woman who throws buttarangs and doesn't punch people, she buttslaps them. The monster of the week style combined with the fact that the stories aren't about Punisher Girl mean that the one season it got was honestly more than it deserved.

My Roomate is a Cat

So the plot for My Roomate is dull as fuck. It just is. Nothing ever happens. It's slice of life and the life in question is just... empty. However, every even numbered episode shows the previous episode, but from Pepper the cat's perspective. He narrates, gets into mischief and is an excellent character. It's just a shame that half the episodes exist purely to show you Pepper in odd situations and places without any explanation to set up the next episode. Cut all of those episodes out completely and this would be great. I can't, with good conscionsce however, recommend anything that is half absolute paint drying.

Yuri Kuma Arashi

The wind grows cold. The clouds gather darkly overhead. The minions of evil are approaching and only one teenage boy (you know, anime rules) can save the day. With his trio of friends, Hosho channels the Blade of Storms, cutting through the waves of enemies. Also, he saves his brother's life and falls in love with his best friend. The action scenes are laughably bad and I've never been a fan of the old man pervert trope which Katsu demonstrates all the fucking time in this show and the whole thing is just kind of "eh".

I know there's a list saying what episodes you can skip, but I don't want to do research before watching a show, I just want to stick it on and watch episodes back-to-back. The transforming uniforms/costumes are pretty sweet though. Some excellent design touches in them.

Every so often, someone decides that it's time for another sporting anime. Big O is a black teen from america, so this being anime, he watches his parents die and then swears revenge on the men that killed them. In order to do this, he needs... to play basketball. This gives him the support and funds to confront the evil and also, the murderers were bankrolled by a Basketball team owner. Racial overtones aside, this was actually pretty great. Suspend some disbelief and watch a fun anime where a basketballer moonlights just enough as a vigilante to allow him to rip off someone else's head and dunk it through (literally through) another man's head, dropping them both into the second guys stomach.

Devil is a part timer's Satan is one of the most relatable characters in all of anime. He's worked a lot of hours and he's just fucking done. He approaches Marinara to offer her the job instead - he's seen from hell that she has a lot of potential. But... she wants to finish high school. They agree she'll do the job part time.

Awesome fights with upstart demons and torturing people are balanced by her ordinary life, looking after her 4 year old sister, (where are her parents anime writers???) doing homework and trying to get the cute boys to look at her. 9.6/10 anime, flawless execution of a great idea. The VO guy for Satan is one of the best in the business.

So, when this first dropped I was sceptical. Did Hamtaro really need a mature spinoff? The answer is... kind of? There's a lot of stuff happening in Jojo and it works for the adult market but every time they try and drag it back to the extended universe it came from it feels very forced. Hamster army is intense though, it got seriously dark for a hot second there, major props for that shit.

Bikini Warriors

Okay, heavy on the fanservice, but at least there's no incest here. We can continue. Bikini Warriors I got into after a friend recommended it. General Sinstra is one of the best examples of trope subversion I've experienced in a long time. She's got the tall white woman, unnaturally large boobs, long blonde hair thing going for her and then she's this timid mouse of a character who ended up General of the entire Warrior nation. The obscene amount of work gravity must be doing when their "uniforms" get cut up during combat is hilarious but for all that, I kind of like BW.

It knows what it's working for and doesn't try to push for any deep, meaningful content which is fine. It's not trying to present itself that way. I would use the word "romp" to describe it, but the double meaning is awkward. Bubbly fun.

Steins;Gate

So I vaguely recall this had a video game and maybe a movie just came out? I think I saw people say on twitter. I haven't been super up to date on Steins;Gate for a while because honestly, I just didn't care. Robots have really interesting places you can take them, the idea of them having souls or not, whether they can be property, making the robots of your series, "Hey we're human, but in metal shells" and not exploring them in any great detail is just dull. Like, why even bother? I know the answer to this by the way, it's "RoBotS aRe cOoL!!!"

I gave up around the wedding episode, so... however long ago that was. Maybe they actually have a decent narrative after that, but I wasn't going to stick around long enough to find out.

Hey! We're magical fighting girls and we all have different coloured hair! Who's never seen this done before? I mock with love of course, because while the character designs are hackneyed as possible, the actual characters are really good. If you're willing to look past the fanservice, Marina and Hai have probably the best lesbian romance plot in all of anime and the fight scenes are really well animated. It's not the funniest show and I think it could have thrown in more grittiness with regards the prison arc, but I liked it for what it was. Solid 8/10 ish show.

So I liked how they were all on motorcycles, it's a little anime tropey, but honestly a motorcycle drive-by Kai Beam is just too much fun. However, it only lasted 1 season - 22 episodes and after the length of Z, I was really hoping for more. Maybe when more manga comes out, someone will resurrect this idea.

Bible Black

I found it kind of middle of the roady. Just a typical teenagers at high school anime (sorry for not knowing the proper word for this) with an "everyone has magic" twist. It's not shaking up any new ground, but it also doesn't do anything bad. Bible is a neat protaganist, her being the strongest mage at the end is a twist you see coming from literally the first episode, but the path that the show takes to get there at least has some decent characterisation.

So, as an external analyst:

There's not enough week-to-week change in the project as-is to keep people interested. The reason mercs was able to keep people's attention (for the most part) was because your team was constantly iterating and changing week-on-week.

Here, there is substantially less to do every week. If you're happy with your team... you're basically done and that means you're not thinking about the project and therefore not sending a roster in.

Gardevoir is definitely not a furry. It's a humanoid that's not based on any kind of animal (excluding humans). The only Pokemon that can be classified as a furry are those based on animals.

On the same note, Hatterene would not qualify as a furry either and that's a new Gen 8 Pokemon which is being heavily compared to Gardevoir due to similar body type and even sharing Gardevoir's exact type combo.
