The 6th console generation is PS2/Gamecube/Xbox/Dreamcast. One of the worst offenders of the generation is Xenosaga.

Did none of the developers have any concern for the people that were going to be playing them?

Sonic Heroes has incredible janky charm. I've never played a game where I'm playing normally but the developers didn't line something up right and I blast off into the sunset at Mach 14.

I thought this was going to be about the insane working conditions that Japanese animators have to deal with, but no, it's just "censorship is when no boob". Adjusting your product to appeal to a broader demographic is not censorship, it's just good business sense.

Ultrakill solved it. The only way you can regain health is to bathe in the blood of your enemies, meaning you don't avoid combat at low health.

Hasbro owns Wizards and is trying to wring every single cent they can out of the game by flooding the market with new sets, going all-in on appealing to speculators by making 10 versions of the same card, and charging murder prices for what should be essential cards. I believe you can still have a good time playing Magic if you stick to Commander and find a playgroup that isn't SUPER competitive, but it's definitely harder than it was before.

PC is almost always cheaper, and your PC is probably gonna run the game better than a console.

I'm right up there with you. I can only do KBM on a handful of games, but I imagine you really have to build up the muscle memory and intuition for it to work out.

Grad school has its own pressures, but I can do most of the things I need to do on my own time. I've literally never had a good or consistent sleep schedule in my life, and I just seem to be incapable of getting up consistently before 10 AM. I'm also a person that requires a LOT of downtime in order to function, and 8-9 hours a day seems insurmountable. I've worked jobs like that in the past and I can't fathom doing them for the rest of my life. I understand that a job is probably going to be orders of magnitude less demanding than grad school and I don't have to take any work home with me, but I don't know how much that's going to mitigate my stress. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

K1 is easily my favorite Yakuza game so far (0, 3, and both Kiwamis). It's just such a slick experience compared to 0. The bosses are obviously pretty terrible, although Yakuza has never had good bosses anyway.

Whenever I get stabbed by something (not necessarily enough to draw blood, a pin prick could do this), I suddenly smell something that's adjacent to blood, but definitely not blood. I can't be the only person that experiences this.
