^ Good intro, nice drums leading into it, then the surf rock backing and punk/rockabilly vocals really threw me off in a good way. Definitely something I can picture myself listening to again. Can't wait to play that one at work to give my co-workers more things to talk about lol
9/10, I dug it generously so.

It depends on your definition of habitable.
Proxima b in Alpha Centauri is an exoplanet orbiting within the habitable zone. Sadly the solar storms have most likely blown away the atmosphere, but it might still be habitable underground.
Ross 128 b is around 11 lightyears away, which is less than 3 times further away, which makes it around 51.6 years at a quarter lightspeed.

Well damn, I'm 0 for 2 on this haha
I don't know why I thought stuff was so far away. I used to be interested in outer space a lot as a kid, maybe I should get back to reading up more on it.

Alpha Centauri is 4.3 ligjtyeats away.
Going mear lightspeed would take, lets say 5-6 years.
Going half lightspeed would take 8.6 years.
Going one quarter lightspeed would take 17.2 years.
Going 12.5% ligjtspeed would take 34.4 years.
Going 6.25% lightspeed would take 68.8 years.

Sorry, I meant that as to a possibly inhabitable planet (which I could still be wrong about)

...You know, on that note. Megaman would actually have very good potential for being made as metrovania style game. I mean, if Capcom can be trusted to do so.

I know it would get compared to those weird Spyro/Crash games from the early-mid 2000s, but I've always wanted dual release Metroid x Mega Man games where Samus has to go through and defeat 8 Space Pirate leaders before tackling Ridley's Lair and Mega Man goes through an insanely large Wily's Castle that spans many different kinds of environments while backtracking and finding secrets.

Metroidvanias have far more qualifications than just that.

Suchas?

Try to define some diagnostic traits of metroidvanias so that Zelda 2 somehow isn't one.

Repeated upgrades for ammo/health
Typically 2D
Typically has sequence breaking without use of bugs/glitches
Game has minimal side-story/side-content compared to other games
Lack of towns/hubs, usually just one near the beginning
At least two endings, or some variation of ending screens depending on collection and time

These are just my thoughts, not claiming any to be objectively true.

Just let that sink in for a second next time you pick up your cellphone.

Most people have no concept of how insane the current state of technology actually is in context of the past century. There were people living when man walked on the moon that owned slaves. In the span of a lifetime we went from the telegraph to intercontinental flight.

Had you shown 18 year old me a modern cellphone I'd have asked you where your flying car or hoverboard were parked before calling the Pope myself to bring back witch burning and I'm an atheist.

It kills me what people take for granted these days.

This has to be one of my favorite posts in a long time.

Usually what I just feel like playing. If not that, then it's usually to catch up to a current series. For example, I played through MGS3 and 4 before TPP came out. (Yes, I know PW is more relevant than 4 in terms of TPP.) I'm currently working through all of the HD KH games before KH3 drops in January.

After catching up, then I usually pick by whatever friends and family have also played if I happen to have the same game. Typically speaking, like 90% of my games are single player, so it's not like I'm actually playing with them.

And after all that, it's a toss-up between finishing my oldest titles by acquire date or newest ones by acquire date.
