Sad, however, Voter ID laws need to be reformed a little, they should stay though, but make sure as many people as possible that want to vote and are citizens, can get IDs.

The US does not have citizen ID cards.
There are no government IDs that all americans are forced to carry around.

So it's not impossible to get government issued IDs without having all of the proper paperwork, or having some of the paperwork forged.

1. Be eligible. It's just basic "live where you can vote".

2. Fill out an application. Do it 30 days before the vote.

3. Turn in application.

4. Get a card that says where to vote.

5. Direct quote about when voting, "Present acceptable photo ID at polls or sign an affidavit if no photo ID is available".

So... photo ID maybe?

That sounds like a real nuisance, everyone eligble to vote here just receives the paper in the mail and then on voting day we show the paper and a legal state-issued id.

Requiring the people to "sign up" just sounds like a way to clutter up the system...

I should, but then I would be called a "racist", because Leftists in power don't want Voter ID laws, because they believe that minorities are incapable of getting any form of ID laws to begin with, and they fail to see the irony in that. I am the racist one, while they think that whole groups of people are too stupid to get a photo ID of any kind?

I know that isn't the real reason, but they are trying to turn this into an issue of disenfranchisement, rather than cheating to get their candidates in, normally by using scare tactics.

One of the reasons I think this was due to the 2016 Presidential Election. Like him or hate him, Donald Trump had far more vocal support than Hillary Clinton, and the news media all stated that Hillary Clinton had a near 100% chance at victory, even though she is one of the most unpopular and unlikable candidates we ever had. What I am assuming is that illegal aliens voted several times in states without Voter ID laws under dead people's names, because they were terrified of getting deported, but without actual numbers to back this up, is hard to actually prove. I strongly believe that had there been no voter fraud, Trump would had a slight majority in the popular vote (and I don't buy that Russian collusion bullshit, especially since Russia has been giving Trump a hard time, preventing him from opening up one of his Trump Towers in Moscow, which they repeatedly blocked back in 2013, as well as supplying Ukrainian rebels with weaponry in Crimea against the Russian invasion).

I've posted a story over in 261 about how the liberals reversed a Tory law that made it so ID was required to vote. The liberals' reasoning was that it took votes away from them. Of course it does. Illegal ones. So now no ID is required in most places in Canada.

Naturally the left had all sorts of excuses like "Someone still needs to vouch for them and it isn't worth the risk." BS. The PM is indirectly walking these people across the border and these libs think he won't make sure they aren't charged with any crime if they both vote for him?
