Because "anti-science" doesn't actually mean opposing all science. It means picking and choosing whatever snippets of science one likes with no regard for context and a minimal understanding of the broader concepts and rejecting everything else that one doesn't like. Those clinging to "science" as the basis for transphobia ignore reams upon reams of studies and evidence around gender dysphoria and the various aspects of biological sex in favour of the understanding of genetic sexual dimorphism they got in grade 4. Despite claiming that their position is rooted in science, that's also a fundamentally anti-science position.
I would simply call it "anti-logic" at that point. If you want to adopt the science for one argument, then you need to for all of your arguments. If you're cherry picking, then you are either saying scientific work is subjective and you deem what is valued or not, or you are saying that you are not following your own set of logic, by only listening to some and not all of it.

Biology and genetics expressively say your sex is determined by chromosomes. And there are odd exceptions like hermaphrodism and Kleinfelter etc; Gender is a term largely coined and developed by John Money, which I will let you read about if you wish to, because it's more nuanced than genetics. Sex =/= gender. Once is rooted in observable characteristics (the gene), the other is more of a construct or idea.

Absolutely unhinged China-level intrusion. And addiction, in virtually every circumstance, comes about from a lack of a basic human need not being met. When there's an epidemic of addiction, whether that's games, internet or porn, they're all indicative of a fundamental societal failing, not personal failing.

It's not surprising current degenerate government would think such authoritarian and negligent strategy would be appropriate, very on brand.
The "epidemic of addiction" falls just short of planned. Those products and services you mentioned are designed to be as easily accessible and habit-forming as possible, they want their userbases to become lifelong, repeat customers. I agree it's predatory practice, but the push for self-discipline seems to not be there for a lot of people too. While they *shouldn't* be attempting to make this stuff so "attractive" and addicting, it's also up to people to make wise choices for themselves, too.

Sort of reminds me of that recent Nick Offerman interview about how he hasn't played The Last of Us because he swore off video games after binging Banjo-Kazooie years and years ago, said that he would have been addicted and fallen out of acting if he hadn't.

The only reading that makes any sense to me is that they're saying transphobes are correct about sex/gender. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.
The usual argument against transgenderism is "it's not listening to the science, you are either male (XY) or female (XX)." "The science" as it were, tends to be the backbone of most arguments for there only being two genders. So someone wanting to use "the science" as an argument and then be "anti-science" elsewhere becomes contradictory. I'm not taking up that viewpoint, it's just what I've noticed that usually gets said.

I've had to walk 30+ minutes in each direction for food. It's not that bad when you plan well for it, walking is great for your mind and body, too. I can understand how having to do that long term would become bothersome for that person, however, especially in poor weather, in dangerous areas, constant traffic, etc;

Honestly, that all sounds pretty reasonable. The hardest thing will be reliable age verification to enforce any of it.
You will be "living in a pod and eating bugs" as the rhetoric goes before you know it if you willingly continue to allow the oversight of parties that have zero concern for your best interests into your lives.

And for those saying "slippery slope" keep in mind Meta just launched their government ID linked account program and China (a country so well known for its freedoms and liberties) already mandates personal ID links for any online service. The free(r) world is actively giving up their freedom for a fake sense of security until it becomes so commonplace, it can be enforced.

I watched the movie first and man, the ending sequence is VERY different lol I was a bit shocked at how violent it came across in the book. The stinger at the end of the movie also either seems to be a movie addition or maybe it was from the sequels. But I need to get around to reading the second book now.

That's true, but looking at the long-term, MHA is technically more popular just due to constant exposure. One Piece is just One Piece lmao unfair to equate that into anything. CSM might have had a huge burst of popularity, but it's done for a while. So when asking what's "currently" the most popular, we can look at both the short and long game with that. But yeah, CSM is definitely up there and off-topic, the manga sales have been landmark numbers.

Writing, plot, and themes are all very different things. It was an espionage game, any spy thriller always has at least one good twist to it, he had to get Sony and Konami on-board somehow. Kojima has always done what he has to do to get his ideas out there.

Yeah skyrim is really shallow and a lot of it is obnoxiously repetitive like the dragon fights.

I loved it for a couple weeks but a switch flipped in my brain when I realized it was getting really tedious and then I just stopped cold turkey.

I won't lie and say that it isn't fun for one playthrough at least, but even then, there's a lot more offered up in other games in the same series. I just won't ever understand how people who played previous TES games can praise it when they keep removing skills and abilities.

Kind of? But I don't expect it to do well. And outside of FF, I'm not really sure what SE is doing anymore, they haven't had a hit in years, and they keep doing all this weird shit nobody asked for.
I feel like Forspoken was definitely made off the external pressure of non-Japanese markets, considering the protag is from New York. That and it looks to draw heavily from FFXV, so I'm sure they're still trying to recoup from that whole debacle by trying to give what they worked on a bit more life before shelving it permanently.

Too bad they already said XVII is possibly going to be their next MMO. Thank god we have Octopath II coming out. Still not sure why they made that series instead of Bravely Default III, but hey, here we are.
