Having concern for other people isn't weird.

Getting banned/suspended on a regular basis because you can't stop yourself from bullying others online, that's weird.

Cue the ultimate irony, where it turns out that the guy really is dead, and the authorities somehow find this topic, and then Zikten gets prosecuted for not acting to save him while he still could have.

the person was dead by the time I noticed anything weird. I thought nothing until like the 3rd day. they would be dead by then. and now it's been a week
and I guess the cops need to arrest all my neighbors too. especially the lady who lives directly across the hall from this person. and arrest my caretaker too. I saw him in the hall today but didn't say anything. he should have noticed the package. hell, just arrest the entire building. we all belong in prison and on death row, and then go to hell

...and if he was still alive then, but is dead now, then you effectively let him die by not helping him or trying to contact someone else to potentially get help.

That would only apply if they also noticed something amiss and didn't react. It's entirely possible none of them noticed anything at all, and you were the only one who suspected but also did nothing.

And I'm pretty sure none of your neighbors posted on GameFAQs to establish a digital timestamp on precisely when they started to grow concerned, while simultaneously making no effort to do anything about it.

Well, there we go. Glad to see that Kirby has confirmed his morality based off a Justice, rather than what the right thing to do may be.

Glad to see that not your problem supersedes your ability to be a good person. This explains a lot about the opinions in your posts. Hopefully your kids, forbid you ever have any, end up with better parents.

we are talking about the legality of not doing anything in this situation, not the morality of not doing something.

there is also no reason to believe the authorities should be contacted based on the info provided.

Morals and ethics are relative, my dude. If you want to throw yourself down on the sword for some randos, be my guest. I prefer to help out by volunteering and donating regularly to feel better about contributing to society. I don't need to endanger myself if it's way too risky. I'd certainly try if possible and I would indeed call the authorities in the case of TC's situation, but I'm not about to face down an 800 pound gorilla if some dumbass kid falls in.

I read the envolope as I walked by just now. and its from the census. and addressed just to "current resident" so it's not even important. my guess is they had no idea this was coming and they don't care....and they are on a trip either in hawaii, the lower 48 visiting family, or maybe camping somewhere in alaska. I bet one of these days soon the envelope will be gone
