I'm having trouble understanding why Ben is below zach on your list.

I've tried to steer clear of mentioning it, because it takes us into some 'icky' feeling territory, but zach made a post outside of these topics that should absolutely have been a MK if he were scum. The fact that it should have 100% been a MK as scum means it should probably have also been a MK as town. But regardless it's a situation where scum zach *IS* MK'd every single time, and town zach *MIGHT* be modkilled at host discretion.

And it's gross and potentially wrong to look at it that way, and it's not the "right" way to play mafia. But that's the situation and it makes me sure that zach has to be town :/

It's not too bad. Just send out gifts while you're out walking and then spin a new set.

I won't likely be available to be out pokemonning looking enough to do that except maybe 2 or 3 times a week. I was hoping on those occasions i could spin up 30~ gifts and have enough for everyone every day. I will have to reconsider how i dispense gifts but might at least be good for 3-4 gifts a week if i get a system down.

For as inactive as yesterday was Crescent did a lot of the posting. Within those posts she mostly sought to try to reason what tools scum has or had at their disposal and what their perspective would have been on certain game events. Here are some brief paraphrased excerpts of Crescent posts:

I still feel it's most likely han or Death.

Now it clearly wasn't death, but was Crescent silenced for her activity (which was significant) or for her opinions specifically, which was that Zach could not be scum and that Han was probably scum. Beyond those two she seemed to be looking past Tange on account of the inno scan.

Now aside from myself I feel Zach is the least likely to be scum.

I don't know if Han is the kind of scum that would silence crescent for pushing for his lynch. That would be like Yomi layer 0 of making the move to remove a threat. But he would expect that we would see that and understand it's purpose. Unless he expects us to take it the step further and view it as exonerating him because he would not be so foolish as to do the most obvious thing. It all becomes WIFOM, but the layers are there and the logic exists from both sides.

But if it isn't Han then I'm not sure if Ben or Tange is the kind of scum that would kill someone who was pushing for someone else's lynch just so we would see that and lynch him next.

In either case it feels significant that she was killed.

But the name of the game today has been Han vs Ben and to me I'm not convinced that we're looking at town vs town. If Occam's razor has Han as scum, then that just ends the game. But in the event that he isn't, then Ben's play is to get Han today, kill me tonight, and the pact with Tange guarantee's that Zach goes down tomorrow? Ben also has been quick to point out Zach's mafia general post as a town mark in his favor, but that could just be Ben being salty that a modkill was not handed down for that making his job just that much harder.

Between killing Han and Ben then, I'm not sure we could lose. But that would rely on Tange breaking pact tomorrow and not just giving up the win.

These at least are my musings after reading through today's posts from everyone and crescent's posts from yesterday. I'll sleep on it and should have more time to post tomorrow (yes, really).

I'm sorry you have to put up with my inactivity, but I think a replacement at this point would take far to long to get up to speed and I know that I will have time to post. I hope at the very least I've done right by crescent today.

Sorry that took so long. There was a shooting at my parent's neighbor's house and they are pretty shook up about it. One of the neighbor's kids (19 y/o) was killed and he was shot right on the edge of their property.

I'm still gonna go through crescent's stances from yesterday, but it's gonna take me a bit longer unless someone else wants to get on that.

The one thing I'm noting from the actions list is there is an awful lot of confirmed town actions and very few actions that could even be attributed to scum at this point. This just makes it even likelier that a kill was stopped n1 and that the janitor was an extra kill. Other than that observation nothing significant is coming to mind.

So yeah i'll be back later with the Voice of Crescent and we can go from there.

We should be able to at least have a really clear 2 person PoE to base our lynch(es) on.

It does make a little sense actually, especially from a balance stand point. Godfather is a strong role that would make you immune from a cop scan. With that in mind the godfather would typically never send in the kill because of tracker/watcher fear. In this case the watcher was scum, so it's just tracker fear. But throwing janitor on there gives you an ability you *want* to use. It's additional strength, with the added downside of having to send in one of the kills and possibly being seen doing it. But the janitor happened night 1 so that reduces the chance of being spotted to a 1/20 or whatever chance of tracker puns picking exactly the right person on exactly the right night.

But brb, i'm gonna pull that master list that got made of all the claimed night actions.

I'm really sorry, I'll be around today. I had a late night at work again and then an even later night watching hearthstone vods. I wasn't really expecting to be alive after the scanners got taken out and to be honest it's a little embarrassing. So either I played so poorly and was so off track yesterday, or crescent was playing so well and was decidedly on track.

I never even finished my next super wall after the zach wall because it just didn't seem relevant anymore.

There is one puzzle I'm completely and utterly stumped on right now. Not even going to say which because I'm not ready to throw in the towel, but it's pretty baffling because I've put it down a couple times and picked it back up later, and I haven't made any progress.

Because the healing totem is also an end of turn effect so in theory the damage is being healed as it occurs. I guess?
But then its weird that sequencing matters for things like coffin crasher in otk mecha'thun priest but the damage is not truly resolved until the very end of turn.

Id be curious to see what happens if you had a healing totem on your board and did the combo. Would itb survive with 1 hp? Or would the healing occur first and then 10 damage still kills it?

Your "never ever" insistence borders on the absurd. It's clear to everyone else that there are elements of randomization and elements of skill. And that part of being skillful is making optimal plays based on the percentage chance of certain outcomes. Such as "my only chance to win is to kill their taunt and pop their piloted shredder and hope a doomsayer pops out". Yes, if that happened it would be based on a random effect, but it would still presuppose that the player had the skill to recognize their only possible out and to play towards that out.

See also: "I can clear the board if I play twisted nether, but then they get to establish board again, so my only winning play is to play mind control tech and hope I steal the lich king". It's a losing play 75% of the time, but it's skillful to realize that in some situations twisted nether is a losing play nearly 100% of the time, so you take your chance where you can get it.

If scum has a list of town roles (which zam/tony indicates) it wouldn't necessarily be for no reason.

Im also concerned that zach did not hint this action on day 2 at any point. He alluded to it on day 3 saying he considered eaed confirmed but that he didn't want to explain why. He could have made this same remark on day 2 so if he died that night we would read it and realize what happened.

The vig claim came right at the tail end of all claims, alongside Mzero's bombclaim.

The vig claim was a same time claim with the cop claim. It was during day 3 when sheep replaced pj.

Im not sure why a same time was beneficial at all considering Zach's claimed action was fully isolated from anything else, but that at least was when it happened.

FD's thoughts on the Zach Wall:

The first thing that comes to mind is just how insistent Zach has been regarding his being "confirmed" and his "day 1 play" (regarding zam). It's striking because a very small portion of his day 1 was even regarding Zam. Other people were making posts at Zam and Zach chimed in with just a few posts. The first couple about the "auto correct" and the 3rd saying "will you claim?". Not demanding or requiring a claim or really applying much pressure at all. And the rest from there was history, but it feels more like a team of professional builders constructed a house, and zach was in the background when they took a group photo and he points to it saying "I was there!" and taking credit for the house they built. Yeah, he was there, but it became such a recurring theme for his posts moving forward that I'm not sure about it.

A large chunk of posts were also dedicated to arguing with Han. If there was more than 1 scum left after reading this I would say pretty confidently that they could not both be scum, because damn is that obvious now.

Zach also had about as many posts from day 1 as he did from the other 4 days combined, but he did cite a busier schedule on several of those days so I'm sure that contributed.

And as I mentioned at the top in my general thoughts, the fact that it's clear that scum had knowledge of town roles (or lake thereof) makes things like Zach's vig claim look very shaky. In particular a vig claim because it feels like an extra kill must have been missing somewhere. Perhaps not missing then, but claimed as a town action without the fear of a vig counter claim?

Actually I lied i'll probably take the next game off because I've been told i've played poorly this game.

I've been a little bitter about acting today for various reasons, but i've also been busy. Feeling town fatigue and I understand where zam is coming from. . It strikes me as odd that ur bad is rhetoric used so frequently. Last scum I think has to be han if I had to pick.

I'm still absolutely baffled that people think I could be scum given my day 1. You are all highly over estimating my abilities. I railed zam because i'm town. I admitted to shooting corrik and i same timed with sheep because i'm town.
