As someone who has never once contemplated suicide i would honestly not know how to help someone other than suggest they get help from someone more knowledgeable than myself,a professional of some kind.

It wouldn't be cruel or cold or uncaring, but because i honestly wouldn't know what to say. The fact that life is important and special and precious is so deeply ingrained that i would be at a loss to comprehend feeling otherwise.

Even when painful things happen your life is a gift to be treasured. It is not a pain from which to be spared.

If you are still having suicidal thoughts then i encourage you to seek help through some sort of program that is geared for that.

I consider myself a Democrat.

I have quite a few personal preferences that line up with a Republican line of thinking (abortion, for example) but i think that ones personal preferences should not dictate policy across the board for everyone.

This is the aspect that i take umbrage with.

You can't just say "well everyone has done something bad in their life" to equate competent and (relatively) scandal free politicians to whatever it is you would call the train wreck that is President Trump.

Maybe he doesn't have anything major to hide, but if that is the case he does a really bad job of showing it. Maybe his tax returns will show that he isn't hosting and. And if that is the case he could release them and clear it up.

So many issues could be cleared up if we had the slightest attempt at transparency.

And that's fine. Almost no one should run for president because almost no one is up to the task.

Also experience (or lack thereof) in similar positions should be a pretty freaking big deal.

If only a handful of people are qualified to be president then thats who i want going for the job.

What we said is we found no evidence of it, he said. Thats a different statement. We found no evidence of collusion.

So they went out of their way to make a point to say they didn't find something that they weren't looking for.

Regarding the kmart "health insurance" -
I've never worked at kmart in particular but i have my share of experience with minimum wage employment. In every single instance the insurance offered has been very pricy with very little benefits to justify the costs. When you are only pulling in 1100 a month (or less potentially) you can justify spending 200+ a month on insurance that will hardly impact your out of pocket expenses for small medical issues and still comes with a multiple thousand dollar deductible for real emergencies.

Is it still insurance? Yes

Is it technically being offered to full time employees? Yes.

But in reality you would need to have a significant problem for it to justify its own cost and at that point you are still several months pay in the hole.

The best offering id received was when i worked at McDonalds and it still wasn't good enough to really tempt me into taking it.

And i made little enough at the time to qualify for Medi-Cal which makes the shitty company offered plans even shittier by comparison.

But when i grew up my parents both worked for the IRS so we had excellent insurance through the federal government so maybe i was just spoiled by how good it was back then.

I ended up knocking the difficulty down to easy to do the "Finish the first two islands in 30 minutes" achievement with Blitzkrieg. I felt bad at first, but time-based achievements in a game like this aren't a fun challenge to me so I think that was the better choice than trying to force it on Normal; I still came down to the last 30 seconds.

Of course, immediately after that run I realized you can speed up enemy turns in the options.

Time based achievements in a turn based game seems not fun in general.

I loved the concept of the book.

I did not love the execution of the book. After the first hundred pages the pacing goes from decent to awful and it made it difficult to care when they would just hand wave important passages of time or solutions to major issues.

Stardew valley is a peaceful game that i can relax to and chill out for hours without a care in the world.

But then sometimes i start a new file and it only rains 1 time during the entirety of spring and it enrages me so much i could cheerfully murder every last citizen of pelican town.

As someone who is hopefully about to be the beficiary of these things, you currently have to reactivate your Prime Subscription every month and there isn't a way to have it roll-over which is annoying to the subs and the streamers.

I'm hoping it's something they change soon as having the option would be nice.

As someone who somewhat frequently uses my prime sub (maybe 8-9 months out of the year) I don't mind this. When I don't visit a stream for awhile and forget to renew it then that's an eye opening way for me to realize that perhaps I don't visit that stream often enough for it to warrant the sub and I use it somewhere else. And it's nice having it available so I can put it towards AGDQ and SGDQ so the proceeds go somewhere nice.

As opposed to the few times I've had a full sub set up, and decided I was going to cancel it, only to forget and remember 3+ months later.

If you have Amazon prime and if you have a twitch account you can link them. I think its easier to link from the Amazon side of things.

Then when you are viewing a stream and press the "subscribe" button you have a choice to pay out of pocket or use your free prime sub which you get 1 each month.

The Nunberg stuff is confusing to me.

He is speaking critically of trump and other members of the campaign staff, but says that members of the campaign staff have been unfairly targeted?

He seems to be at odds with trump, but won't work with the person conducting the investigation into him?

What am I missing here?
