Control Mage bottom 2 cards were DK and Alanna. Which is terribly terribly unlucky. But I think even WORSE than that was the ridiculous outcomes from the shudderwock batlecry orders. -Shudderwock #1- Zola Grumble ~Saronite Lifedrinker MCT Keleseth ~Saronite Hagatha Ooze Complete whiff. But he had a 1 mana zola in hand so he was able to return a 9 mana shudderwock back to hand. (now 2 zola battlecries in list) And then the sick thing that happens next is the fact that hagatha is consistently, CONSISTENTLY giving them terrible cards clogging up the hand. Things like crushing hand that would overload you for a shudder turn or just expensive cards with no targets like hex. -Shudderwock #2- Grumble Ooze MCT ~Saronite Hagatha Zola Lifedrinker Zola ~Saronite Keleseth Grumble whiff, but both zola's hit. Gives them two 9-mana shudderwocks in hand. Oh and their hand is completely full with pointless spells they can't remove easily. -Shudderwock #3- Ooze Grumble Zola Zola Hagatha ~Saronite Kelseth MCT Lifedrinker Glacial Shard ~Saronite Complete and total whiff. Now there is one 9 mana shudderwock left. Then they get stuck for a few more turns trying to dump cards. -Shudderwock #4- Grumble Lifedrinker MCT Zola Lifedrinker Glacial Hagatha Kelseth Ooze Zola ~Saronite Glacial Shard ~Saronite 0 shudderwock's left in hand. Three FULL WHIFFS across 4 shudderwocks. They went on to make a misplay a few turns into fatigue after mage made played Alanna where they could have cleared and didn't, but that seems wholly beside the point, but the fact is I don't think I've ever seen so many ineffectual shudderwock's in a single game. There were between 9-13 battlecrys on each of the shudderwocks and grumble landed first or second on each one, and ALL of the Grumble/Zola's landed before BOTH of the saronite's 3 out of 4 times. I'm not sure what the math on that is exactly, but it's pretty freaking awful. Like just Grumble luck alone is a 67% chance to succeed each time, and grumble failed all 4x. Throw in the extra chance from 1/2/2/2 zola's on each one and I'm not sure what you get except screwed. --- |

Getting 6 or 7 free taunts regardless of size and getting them multiple times via cube and witching hour. Take out a few 9 drops and run saronite and other 4-6 cost taunts. You might lose the mirror a bit more than 50% of the time but you will put aggressive decks into the dumpster. --- |

And I think at least some of them are with people who actually buy into this notion that the media is regularly fabricating stories. And honestly if Trump is innocent then they should want a thorough investigation more than anyone else since it would just exonerate him. Even if we can prove that Russia took steps to undermine our elections it's not like it's going to change the results. It's not as though they actually managed to hack the polling stations on election day. The results that we got really happened and trump really won the election. He would still be the president. That isn't going to change even if we throw a few dozen people in jail for their part in the whole thing. Idk, the whole thing is annoying. Which just makes it difficult to stay engaged in, which is the fucking sickest part about it because even the people who care just get so fatigued by everything that we can't even collectively stay as engaged as we need to be with this thing. --- |

But as grating as he can be to interact with there is no excuse for threatening to MK yourself. You just have to suck it up and play on. Its a game of communication where a third of the people you are communicating with are actively trying to kill you and the rest assume you might be trying to kill them. You are going to disagree with people and you are going to butt heads. That's just part of the price of admission. --- |

You were supposed to bring balance to the Town, not leave it in darkness. . But seriously, I was relying on Town han to protect me night 1 while I simultaneouslye confirmed him town beyond a doubt. The sick part is that i very nearly went with Panth instead, but I couldn't justify finding a way to say that panth was "the person i felt best about" on day 1 since he was AWOL. for so much of it. Also to.clarify the "Super" part of my role I did have other actions i could have taken instead that would have protected myself even behind scum, but i elected to just use a normal hiding action for night 1. As i see it using my Super Hide would have protected myself, but would have resulted in no real information. The normal hide was a gamble but it would yield tangible results either to confirm someone town or trade my life for a scum. I was so happy when dowolf pulled my post btw. I didn't think there was much chance it would go completely ignored but i was still a little worried. . Regarding the end game if i were around i would have definitely supported Dels against death. Everything Dels was saying made a lot of sense. Im not sure how i felt about corrik so i can't claim i had them both pegged. Ive got more to say about the game but those are some brief thoughts for now while im at work still. --- |
