I liked the first Great Ace Attorney, with the understanding that you're supposed to play both games.

I finished the CS games already, but I'm still 3 games away from this (both Crossbell games and Reverie). I did buy Trails From Zero, but wanted to take a break for awhile before starting (partly because I was feeling burnt out to Trails but also so I could forget as many of the plot points brought up in the CS games as possible...).

Anyway, it'll probably be awhile before I could get to Daybreak.

I'm just noticing this topic now...I saw this game getting some good reviews, and I like card games in general so it kinda piqued my interest. (my interest is more with traditional 52 card deck-type games, and not Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic type card games) Kinda tempted to get it, we'll see.

I haven't played very many roguelike games, so I'm sorta having trouble picturing the overall gameflow. Like, is it just the main card game mechanic and you get different challenges as you go? Or is there some overarching something, to it?

...again a really random thing to think of first. I played this one for maybe 2 hours.

Character interaction tends to be the main character with the NPCs in their quest. So there is decent interaction there, just not as much between the playable characters. There is more interaction with playable characters than OT1, thanks to paired stories and the end game, but the game is still mostly structured around each character doing their quests separately.

I think Trails games really shine in their character interaction. I enjoy that, though I still liked OT2 for being its own thing.

I thought OT2 was great for its gameplay, mainly. The stories were fine too. The characters didn't interact with each other much, though. It's better in OT2 than OT1, but still way less than a typical RPG. I didn't mind the voice acting, but on the other hand I'm not too sensitive to that, so probably not the best one to judge.

Based on what you've described, I'm not sure OT2 would be the best game for you.

I did pick up Romancing SaGa for PS2 a long time ago and played for maybe an hour or so but never really got into it. That game was kinda complicated. It seemed fun I guess, but there's always been other games to play over it.

12 is too high, but I kinda appreciate the jab at Vaan by including Ashe instead, next to the other two protagonists (at least Terra is the closest thing VI has to a protagonist).

My first thought was the weapon from Final Fantasy Tactics....overshadowed by Excalibur but still strong in its own right.

I watched a bunch of this yesterday, but it was going on too late, so I stopped at Loser's Semis. I kinda forgot about this till Sunday afternoon yesterday, and ended up watching more of the LCQ last weekend than the main event, heh.

Personally, if they have less money to put in, I'd rather they just lowered the top prize, and kept the other ones proportionally higher. Though I guess they really want that "million dollar" headline.

I like Ace Attorney and Zero Escape, but didn't like Danganronpa (only played the first game). I'd actually say Danganronpa has the best gameplay of the three of those, but I didn't really like the characters, tone, or dialogue in it, and that matters a lot in games like these.

I enjoyed ZTD when I played it, but reading some of your posts here, some of these scenes sound like they come from games I wouldn't normally enjoy. I suppose I found the rest of ZTD interesting enough apart from some of those scenes to overcome that, though.
